  2. How can you drive more potential clients to your website, as well as how can you increase the chances that they may actually buy from you?Advertising, where should you target your advertising? Hosting Forums? Gaming sites? Where?Special offers, how good do these actually work? I've had a few but never noticed anything greater than usual.

  3. e-gold is really basic. And there is no varification involved, so you could pay someone and they could take your money and run. You would never be able to get your money back and theres no way to tell who they are since EGold doesnt check to see if the person is actually a real person. And another crappy thing about them you have to call them to get your money. When with paypal you could just deposit it into your bank and dont have to talk to a single person.

  4. Hey guys!
How you doing? I have something new for you.
I found a new PPC affiliate program. Till now I used Adsense but I changed it. On one of my site http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, adsense gave me an average bidprice of 7 cents per click. They probably bill the advertiser for 70 cents with their huge marketplace.
Targetpoint gives me an average of 40 cents per click and i am very happy. Anyway I'm really bored, everyway I look there is goooooooooogle. Finally I found someone who doesn't puts his logo and link on the banners.
With this new program I can build my banners. They give me full control over the design so I can match the banners with my site. This is what I love about this program.
The downside of the program is that the ads take a long time to load, at least in my case.
If you heard about them or you are working with them please let me know.

    Best regards,
    Lizzie

  6. I have been developing a 'Web Hosting Value Calculator' for one of my websites. To make a long and painfully analytic story short:I have perfected a 'Value Calculation' that factors in among a few other things - the big three:number of emails provided per dollar spent;bandwidth provided per dollars spent;and disk space provided per dollars spent.I chose to focus on these three metrics primarily - as my experience leads me to believe that these are the measures that most prospective customers look at to determine value. The abbreviated results from a few bigger name companies are in the file attachment. My 'Best Web Hosting Value' winner? Globat's 'Gigabyte Package'.What does everyone think of my results? Any packages that offer more value?

  7. hi againMost hosts offer 15 or 30 day money back guarantee. Why not try any of the hosts you liked? You may get your money back anytime within a monthcreate a list of Hosters that will meet your requirements or at least come close. Then remove the ones that do not offer any kind of 15 to 30 day guarantee or refund.Once you have a list of say, 5 to 15 potential Hosters meeting the above, you then send an eMail to each one and ask about the specifics of their guarantee/refund and any other questions you have. That should help narrow your list to Hosters worth considering.Remember also to keep that list. Having already spent the time narrowing down Hosters, if the one you do choose should not work out you have a pretty good list of backup Hosters. :D

  8. FWIW: - In the US, you can put a copyright on anything without actually sending it through the copyright office and it does become copyrighted property.- TM and SM can also be aded to a slogan, image, name, etc. without actually submitting anything to any authority.- R for registered trademark can be added to almost anything but unless you really register it with the PTO it is not protected. All in all, you are putting way too much enphasis on such trivial details. The bottom line is that whether they are a 1 man operation or a huge corporation, their TOS and AUP will be written so as to avoid any kind of liability.

  9. It has become apparent rather obvious that most hosting providers are running Non-registered, hence tax free operations. This is totally unfair and unreasonable as legal issues can be hard to adhere to.IMO, I think the legal complication of sueing a provider for damages if any problems ever amount would become a waste of time. Most companies in America on their sites put a ® or tm on words and banners, and I've become a little suspicious because trademarks in my country costs $10,000 I believe for which a small hosting provider most likely wouldn't have the capitial to spend on this.I know a few companies that put LLC on their business name but I'm not sure how to check if its real via the Internet. I've caught a few hosting companies out in Australia that put "Pty Ltd" on their business name but a check up on asic.gov.au proves they are faking it.Can a host be trusted if they are carrying a business that is utterly unregistered. - Some hosts don't even put LLC, or Pty Limited. They just put "Copyright 2005 XX***********" - just their domain name.

  10. Main search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN provide clear indication that inbound links get special consideration in search algorithm. That is why off Page Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with text links (either exchange or buy text link) has been probably the most important factor for SEO. PageRank (PR) is an algorithm for assigning numerical weightings to web pages by Google. Google considers PR arranging websites in their search results. To increase your PageRank, you should get as many external links as possible pointing to your pages. The links from page with high PageRank help to increase your PageRank.

  11. I own a few sites

    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

and about 10 more... but those are my two main sites (other sites are an mmorpg, games site, outwar fansite, habbo fansite and others)

Anyway, on most of my sites, I have http://www.sitescout.com/adbrite/?utm_source=adbrite advers on them, I have earned about ?15($30) for people clicking the advers and about ?15($30) from selling ads, I have made this withing the last few months (about the last 2 months)

Im my opinion that is one of the best ways to make money on the internet. As long as you have a HIGH traffic website (I am making those two aoutomated, so people ccan sign up, upload and the sites should run themselves)

So I wont have to do much to keep the content updated, I will still have to advertise tho.

Thats my contribution to this part of the forum for now, I hope this info will help someone :D
