A world without religion...thats a thought.. There would be much less war I think, but what really would human beings be able to put faith in then, becuase I think almost all human beings have to put faith in something, even if it is each other.

Apart from the fact that i'm sure it can;t be as good as turning it off, should we really ignore the effects of the environment that leaving your computer on 24/7 365 days/year can cause! Surely for the environemt it is better to turn it off. Plus..you can;t use it in your sleep can you!!!

There are so many other variables though that I don;t think vegetarianism can be measured as the sole cause.

yes but isn;t it possible that technology could come to a point that it was able to design itself with any human input, even to tell it to do so. (I,Robot for instance)

I think suicide shouldn't be legal because I think anyone who truly wants to end there life either simply can't see the good side of things, which should be helped, or is mentally ill, which should also be helped. However I do in principle agree with euthenasia except that I don't think there is any adequate monitering system.

I've thought for a while now that the entire western world would completely collapse without the even most sensitive of technologies. Its quite amazing and worrying to think the economy, international communications, governmental communications and even intelligence agencies' communications could all fail through a worldwide malfunction. Obviously underwater cables wouldn't affect these, but the internet still provides the platform for such a huge amount of business nowadays that it is almost unthinkable not to have it. Its all very worrying.

So am I...although is it really that much of a surprise that the government is able to tap into all our computers at any time??? You'd think htat would be the least they would do.
