1. there should be such a option that the bookmark can be exported from firefox and then imported to other browsers. The problem is that there isn't a standard bookmark format for every browser to use;The reasons why firefox is not the best:
1. It borrows bookmarks from IE but doesn't lend them to it.
2. The pages visited by Firefox are not available to IE offline.
3. It has problems with java or maybe some plugins and doesn't display
all pages properly.
4. The extension manager doesn't work or maybe I don't know how to use
it.
5. Upgrading is something that is never possible directly. It says
connecting with no progress and I just have to wait. (Can't use it till
searching for upgrades is over.)
2. why would you want that? why would somebody do that?
3. while since firefox 1.0 I hardly find many pages that are displayed wrong in firefox unless there is directx involved. maybe I don't know that many websites after all, but on the contrary, opera has all kinds of problem in my hand;
4. the extension manager works fine.
5. the auto upgrade works fine, it upgrades my extensions all the time. the problem is that mozilla update sites don't update their contents often.

Today I noticed a small change of Gmail. in the bottom there is new section called "basic HTML", when clicked, Gmail will become html form, this is for the browsers that doesn't have or support Java. check it out yourself.

I guess you can try reboot and see what happens, hopefully it will be OK. If not, insert you winxp install disk and do a repair, but be careful not to format you disk. this will most likely solve your problem. If not either, remove you harddrive, attach it to another PC, copy all your important files, your music and files or whatever to another PC or harddrive, then move your harddisk back, format and reinstall winxp.Ok well yesterday I dled an apparently important windows security update. After it downloaded my screen changed it's size and level. It went from a 1028 by 800 or whatever that regular 17 inch size is to 640 by 880 and it had changed to medium 12 bit. I don't know why. So I turned my computer off and left for school.
I came back home and I turned my computer on. It said that something in my system32 file was either gone or corrupted and that I had to reboot my entire computer. So um.. I am asking, how do I get all my files and music files off the hard drive before I reboot my computer? I can't get onto my desktop mind you so yeah. If you can help please I would like to know.

I have seen Dell offering them on their high-end desktop models, but never had time to figure it out what exactly it does and how well it increases the performance. Are there any comparsions done with normal HD and NCQ HD on same computers to see what performance boost can be obtained? I would like to see some charts or figures, numbers.Has anyone heard about NCQ? It is a new type of technology incorporated into new drives which makes them smarter and hence increases the overall comp performance.
NCQ - stands for native command queing. What is does is that, the hard drive fitted with a microcontroller has a stack which stores all the commands during high load and then the one which has the highest priority or the one which is immediately required is executed first so that the no so important process wait. This is supposed to increase the performance of the computer significantly. The Maxtor Diamond Max9 with SATA (300MBps) have this technology. And I think Seagate also has started providing this technology with the Baracuda .8 (Dot 8) drives. I am not sure. If anyone is following hardware closely they might know about it.
Since I was busy for a few months now I couldn't keep track of it. If someone has any extra info please post it here.
Thank You.

I agree with many that the flash need to be removed, and the use of color somehow is not very comfortable, it is a well-designed web site and very good for personal sites. Since it is for a business company, it should look more simple, more professional, less contrast. If I am a customer right now looking for a designer for my site, I will probably not choose its service based on its web design. But again, it is only my opinion.

bloglines is not a blog service provider, it is a online aggregator, means you can store multiple feeds in you account and check them out everyday, there are many client software now doing this kind of thing but I like the online one best because you could go anywhere using any computer and still be able to check you favorate feeds. There are a couple of online aggregators like bloglines, feedster, I found bloglines is the best so far.
For personal blog, blogger is a nice choice for starters, but it lacks features and you can do very limited things in terms of design or hacking. The best blogging service I found is wordpress, however you do need a server supports sql and php to set up a wordpress blog, that is where Xisto comes in. Now, Xisto+wordpress, pretty impressive and powerful combination for a personal blog.

bloglines are down for maintainance, however, their office message is quite interesting. it is called bloglines plumber, if you go right now, you may see it yourself.

the linkification extension basically does the same thing as dragandgo, but it is better, it recognizes potential hyperlinks from text and makes them hyperlinks on the page so you simply click them instead of select and drag.Adblock - Great extension.
All-in-one gestures - Mouse gestures, you got to have them.
Webdeveloper - Handy stuff, in a context menu (or toolbar).
Super DragAndGo - select text or a link or a text-URL, drag it a little bit away, relsease. And tadaah, you have a new tab open with whatever you dragged.
Tabbrowser preferences - Extra tab preferences. Useful

exactly, however, how about gporn.com? googleporn.net? google-porn.com? etc, how can google register everything to protect themselves?gbrowser is a welcome addition to google products and services, if ever this rumor finds its way to reality. until it is made public, we'll just have to wait and drool.
as for googleporn.com, i don't believe that they have to resort to offering that next to remain competitive as a company. registering that is simply one way to protect the google brand, since owning it gives them control of the domain, and saves them the legal hassles of chasing after domain registrants who abuse and misuse the google brand and the google domain variants.

Just tried it out, it is great, I would say, very nice clear and big map, much better than what mapquest, msn and yahoo offered. didn't notice any ads either. I will try the direction later.I didn't see any topics about it yet
Google has released the beta of Google Maps, a handy map thing if you live in the US. Here is a tour, if you want to know what it can do.
So far only IE and Firefox/Mozilla are supported.
if only google can add the satelite picture to the map that would be wonderful, google has just bought such a company called keyhole, one can only hope...
but let us just say, we can see the demise of mapquest very very soon.

this has been posted for a while, I have said before and I will say again. these changes will speed up Firefox a little bit, which can not be noticed by any means, but it will cause problems on some webpages and it will cause web servers to have problems.I hope this wasn't already posted. I searched the forums for it, but didn't see it... so anway...

I only backup data in my computer, I bought an additional harddrive and an exclore and made a usb external harddrive myself, then I backup all importand files in this external harddrive.I never backup my windows, if there were any thing wrong, I will just reformat and reinstall ever thing, it is pain, but it did not happen very often, maybe once a year or 2.
