ok lads, I'm gonna go to pretty strict talking here. I love to discuss on topic like this one. Proof of God's existance? hmmmm1. can you prove that you were born? A human can not know what he does not see. so what he does not see he accepts that by someoneone else's experience or somebody else tells him about. none of us have seen ourselves being born. even if we see the video of our birth we cannot say that it i s real, because we were not the one watching all this. we are just told that "he is dad and she is mom". we do except it because it's being planted in our brains since we even don't know, what's happening arround. Everyone of us does not know if his or her parents are their biological parents unless someone knows he was adopted. Now in modern age you can have a DNA test. Should everybody go for it?2. when you create something, does it know that who you are? unless you tell it that who you are. Like, if you create a robot, you know how will it work and you are the creator who can make this robot work whatever the way you want. you decide it to be a warrior or a sergeory robot or a mechanic robot or whatsoever. it knows only that much what you have implanted in its memory. Why dows not the same rule applies for a human? we know or can know in later times only the much whatever is inside this universe. because our creator lets us know only that much and besides he tells us by whatever the means that he is here and there and everywhere.3. the biggest proof of God's being is.......It's beenmillions of years or may be billions of years, humanity always had this discussion that if God exists or not. Do we still fight on the existance of anyone else? do we fight on Adam that he is the First human or not. do we fight on other anciant stuff???? no. it's only God. so he does exist that's why we talk about him.I'll come with some more proofs later......................

the book that worked for me is "PHP5 for Dummies". It is agreat book and I think it is the best for person like you who has no experience in PHP at all but knows well about HTML. I'm a programmer myself and I have worked in C++, VC++, VB and JAVA2, JSP etc. So, it was not any difficult for me to have a good idea of PHP in a single day only. All you need to learn, are basics. you can search hundrads oh thousands scripts on internet and you can search any function you need, official or unoffecial, on web. Best resource is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ you know how to implement those functions, classes and scripts, you are good to go. That's all you need. No need to be any expert. My advise focus, learn and practice the basics like echo,$variable, arrays, strings, loops and most important, have a good idea of database connectivity. That's it, that's all you need in your baggage.something about programming! PHP + (Access OR MySQL): Which Is Better To Use?
hasanarbab replied to djXternal's topic in Programming
Main thing here, I think, is to have efficient database. MySQL is the best one in my opinion, because it's open source. now, it depends on few things. 1st, what web application are you going to develop? in other words, how heavy would be your database? MySQL is good for any kind of database but it is not that good as Oracle is. if you can compromise on few functions then yes MySQL is a not bad option. Secondly, the environment is very very important for the proper functionality of your database. MySQL'll work great on a Linux server. Keep onething in mind that MySQL is an opensource project and it was mainly designed for Linux. So, it deos work good on a windows server as well but again, as I say all the time, "Microsoft is homeless. They have built only one home for them and i.e. Windows. No other home is their shelter and they know this." So, If windows is finished, microsoft is finished, because this is all that what they know. Long story short, main point here is, MS SQL is better on a windows environment, if you can buy license, otherwise, MySQL is best, on linux anyway but on windows? not bad at all..... For your front end, yes! everybody's right, PHP is the best opensource invention in the world. So keep on it and best of luck for your coming back to web development. -
How To Setup Internet Information Services
hasanarbab replied to rmdort's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well, the problem with Microsoft stuff is that they open ports and leave them open ungaurded or may be with gaurds who'll stop everyone without separating goods and bads or stoping no one at all. I have been in a huge huge struggle to fix Windows XP professional's firewall to makee to PCs work in a work group, wirelessly at my home, witout any Access Point. It's done now but it's not easy as it is so called "User friendly"; The main point here is that Frontpage Server Extensions might be risky cause you have an inviting open http port. Secondly, two things I always ask everyone and i.e. Do you have any enemy? and Do You have a server working on, for or with something important? any of these questions' answer is yes then yes Frontpage is totally unsafe. I give you another example here. If you drive a s-grade MERC and then have a try on Some korean Hayundai's Luxary car of same class, off course MERC is better in performance, smoothness, power and comfertability. now in Operating System's case, Hayundai (Microsoft) is a huge numbered production, well advertised, beautifully designed body(FRONT END), shining brand new engine(Windows Kerenal) , but what happens when its stats up, wow nice sound let's have a race with MERC now. and MERC is Linux which is almost free. so get the s-grade lads... it's free. forget Frontpage Server Extensions, cause yes it might be risky:):P:P:) -

Well Guys, I agree with you all too saying that iis is buggy. but I've a different experience. I'm using iis with php5 and it's working all fine. I'm a linux lover myself too so no doubt that LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment is unbreakable and is perfect. Anyhow, if, for some reason, someone feels that linux can not be handled then having windows server 2003 with AMP(Apache, MySQL, PHP) Model is not a bad idea too. This'll work fine and installation 's not very tricky too except you have to configure httpd.conf configuration file manually. Which's really not a big headach. So, we have other options :-) Bill Gates is not the last genius left on earth and Microsoft is not the end of universe. "There are still 7 skies to explore".............
