  1. I have a fla file which creates mutiple buttons dynamically, and a dynamic textfield to go with each button as a label. Depending on the number of rows in the backend database, the number of buttons with their textfields can grow significantly and, therefore, after about 10 instances, they go off the flash movie area so the remaining instances cannot be seen. I don't want to increase the height of the movie or make the instances smaller. What I would like to do is place these buttons with their textfields inside a scrollable container. I would prefer to design and code my own "up" and "down" buttons. Is it possible to embed these instances inside a dynamic textfield and then use the .scroll property?? How would I do this using actionscript? Is there a better way of doing this?
  2. I understand the concept of syntax coloring as well as how to use php tags within html. That is not what I'm asking. The files are SAVED with a .html extension, therefore not applying the syntax coloring at all. Simply resaving the files with a .php file extension is not an option as the site was intentionally designed this way. I'm not struggling nor is the project too deep for me. Perhaps you should read postings more clearly before replying.
  3. I've taken over a PHP application and all of the pages are saved as .html. Consequently, Dreamweaver isn't applying the normal syntax coloring to the PHP code as it would if the pages were saved as .php. Has anyone encountered this or know how I might get Dreamweaver to recognize the PHP without having to change the file extentions to .php?Much appreciated!
  4. I hope someone can help as I have started to reach the point of ripping my hair out over this one... and would love just a tiny bit of guidance from someone in the know.I am using Adobe Premier Pro to edit my video footage - I have finished my first 'extreme sports action film' (ok, so not so extreme, but nevermind...). Now ALL I want to do is get my movie onto a DVD. I have read numerous articles and this process is not as easy as what they make out! When I export from adobe back to the camera and then play through the TV that way then I have excellent quality both visually and sound. However my attempts at getting onto a DVD have left me with either poor picture or poor sound. My first attempt was to render the completed footage as avi format as I thought that this would be the raw, uncompressed version of data - which i then thought I could compress, put onto my dvd authoring program and hey presto!! But infact the .avi footage was really poor quality. (and also took near on 4 hours to render in adobe for 7 mins of footage which seemed a bit excessive considering I'm on a 3.02 Mhz pentium 4 - but thats probably best saved for another thread!).My next attempt was to use the adobe encoder (I also have another encoder - TMPG) to encode the footage into DVD format (MPEG 2) - the picture I got was excellent but the sound is muffled in places...!! Aaarghhh. There are just so many options in choosing the different formats, that for someone like me who is just getting into the hobie of making movies, it can become a bit too much and frustrating! If someone could shed some light on this matter it would be much appreciated!
  5. I was just curious to see if anyone has ever beat Underground yet, I am currently on race 103 of 111 and have found it considerably hard ever since I got close to the 100th race, even on the easy setting... but I am determined to beat the game and gonna keep on trying until I do...I know that Need4Speed Underground 2 is coming out soon as well, and if it is anything like the first one, it shall be an amazing game as well... Just curious to see all your thoughts...
