A wireless access point (WAP or AP) is a device that "connects" wireless communication devices together to create a wireless network. A wireless access point acts as the network's arbitrator, negotiating when each nearby client device can transmit. The WAP is also usually connected to a wired network, and can relay data between devices on each side. Many access points can be connected together to create a larger network that allows "roaming" where a person using the network caninfrastructure network. In contrast, a network where the client devices manage themselves is called an ad-hoc network.Wireless access points with easy installation and low cost (at first glance) rapidly grew in popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s. These devices offered a way to avoid tangled messes of Category 5 cable associated with typical Ethernet networks of the day. While wiring a business, home, or school often requires stringing many cables through walls and ceilings, wireless networking offers the ability to cut down on the number of cables strung or, in some cases, remove them entirely. Wireless networks also give users greater mobility freeing individuals from the need to be stuck at a computer tied to the wall. On the industrial and commercial side, wireless networking has had a big impact on operations: employees are often armed with Portable Data Terminals having barcode scanners and wireless links, allowing them to update work progress and inventory in real-time.thx tux

Anyone get it to work? I might have patched it wrong? I rebuilt SDL_mixer, SDL_image, and SDL with all known patches. But now I have some weird problems. I had to reduce the screen from 32 bit to 16 bit and use software and not hardware rendering. and the controller is all messed up, directions are reversed and no sound. I was able to get SDL_mixer to play mod files in another program. Unfortunetly, I can only test with Chankast right now, so that might be the problem also. But somethings were working before so I don't know if its SDL or changes to KOS that broke SDL. Thanks

My computer is running Fedora Core 2 and I'm trying to get GmailFS (richard.jones.name/google-hacks/gmail-filesystem/gmail-filesystem.html) set up, and I'm pretty sure I'm doing what I'm supposed to. When I enter mount -t gmailfs /usr/local/bin/gmailfs.py /mnt/gmailfs -o username=myname, password=mypasswd, fsname=myfsname I get the error mount: fs type gmailfs not supported by kernelIs there something I might have done wrong while setting up GmailFS that would cause this error, or is my kernel outdated?

Google Bot
in Search Engines

Hi.Just a quick question.I was wondering what would the google bot do, when it faces lots of new pages. I opened my forum for google, and i was wondering what will google do when it sees all those new pages. Will it keep crawling till it gets them all?Or will it crawl 2 or 3 levels, and stop? (may be it will continue later)Is there a limit to the depth of Googlebot in new pages, or will it just go endlessly? Have any body tried to monitor this?Thank you very much in advance.
