14 and you are worried about giving your teen life away to help your family? you just turned a teenager for gosh sakes. who knows, you may learn something as a teenager by helping your family where otherwise you wouldn't have learned a thing. i know for me though....if my family needed me, i wouldn't turn my back on them. sounds like you have resentment issues that exceeds just trying to make a little extra income as a teenager to help with things.kids don't have a choice to be born in to this world, but that doesn't mean that they should seperate themselves with the problems the world is already facing. would you rather be spoiled and hold a silver spoon in your mouth and not have to work a day in your life?if there is something going on here besides your own selfishness, i would like to hear it. in 4 years, you'll be 18 and be able to do whatever you want without having expectations being put on you. you will still be a teenager too! but are there other circumstances here? are your parents emotionally abusing you? are they physically abusing you? are they not fit parents?if they are trying to do their best or if there have been unfortunate circumstances that dictate that they have to swallow their pride to recieve a little more help from people they wouldn't otherwise expect help from, then maybe you should reconsider your mind set.your 14. i am not trying to put you down. i understand your concern about not being able to do what other kids do or doing what you want to do fully as a early teenager. i mean working will take away from spending time with friends or other hobbies you might have. personally, i am not fully understanding what your parents are wanting from you. usually as a 14 year old, you cannot hold a regular job legally. do they have a family business? do they want you to collect cans or get on your bike for a paper route? do they want you to work around the house for them so it gives them more time to bring in a better income?you really weren't too specific but i have a feeling this post was more of a vent than anything too serious about jobs and careers.....the category you posted in. obviously you are too young for a career, so tell me what kind of job or jobs we are talking about here.

I know this is a very old thread but having gone through so many diets before I know a thing or two about the stuff that has been said here. First of all I did weight training for a while and I had been working closely with a very qualified Personal trainer and Phd. nutritionist.First things first, First myth I read in this thread is that there are no negative calories in food. THIS IS A MYTH. There are indeed negative calorie food in that the poster was right. Some food need more calories than the food contains to burn the calories you are eating. The poster did not say that there are no calories in the neagtive calorie food at all. Only that you will need more calories than it contains to burn it off. how do I know that? Well when I was weight training I needed to eat certain things because of the weights I was lifting and I had to go on a strict calorie count. One day I was going out with a couple of friends and one of them was my weight trainer and another one was my nutritionist. They were both working on a program specially designed for me. When the waiter came to take our orders, I asked them what I could order and they told me about the negative calorie food. They even told me to order kiwi juice because kiwi is a negative fruit. Second, eating more proteins than carbohydrates would make you lose weight. ANOTHER DANGEROUS MYTH. When you eat more proteins than carbs it means you have to exercise more because the proteins make you build muscles and if you do eat more proteins and not exercise then you are causing harm for your body. If you don't believe me ask any personal trainer. I used to eat more proteins when I was weight training because I was building muscles. Now a healthy diet contains more fruits and vegetables and less protein and carbs. Everyone knows that. Now if you are lifting weights then you can increase proteins because your muscles need more proteins. Third thing I wanted to mention is that KIWI IS ANOTHER NEGATIVE CALORIE FOOD. It was missing from the list provided by the poster. The reason why I know this is provided in the first point I mentioned in this post.Lastly, if you are eating more proteins than carbs and not exercising to burn that protein off it could cause liver problems because it causes more strains on your liver trying to produce more enzymes to burn off your protein intake.I want to personally thank the person who posted this list because these fruits and vegetables are very healthy for you and they ARE negative calorie food.Last thing I want to say is you don't have to believe me or anyone who talks about healthy eating because if you want to start a diet you have to ALWAYS ask a nutrition specialist and not believe any myth you hear over the internet. Only ask the people that know what they are saying. But most importantly eat more of the natural food and less of the processed and fatty food and you should be eating healthy. And don't EVER do crash diets or go on those marketing diets like atkins or south beach because they all are marketing tricks for people to buy the food labelled with their diet labels in the stores. They all have side effects. Just work with health professionals who will not recommend certain hard to find food only for them to get commission. The most healthy diet should consist of food that are easy to find and available everywhere.

ok. i read your whole post. some of it i understood, some of it, it was hard to understand. i will tell you this much though of what i DO understand that you don't right now.you aren't being real. what i mean by that is that you are so stuck on this whole knowing yourself business and being true to your character, it's creating a distraction of what is REAL and NATURAL. you're a certain way, yes, but you are too young to know that THAT is truely who you are and how you will be the rest of your life. life is strange. sometimes you have to go with the flow without creating rules that can be a distraction OR a wall to other things that are meant to be.i think this is a new experience for you. i am actually kinda excited for you at the same time even though this has to be very uncomfortable for you. take this opportunity to know more about yourself without the distractions that are popping up with you thinking you know yourself fully right now. you'r young and there will always be more to learn about yourself through your experiences as you get older and wiser.also take this opportunity to understand why you can't take your eyes off her and why it's so hard to do so. also understanding why she couldn't take her eyes off you and why it's hard for her to stop as well.you're making mistakes. that's ok. you're not an idiot. the idiots are those that don't make mistakes or screw up sometimes after taking a chance because those who aren't making mistakes aren't doing ANYTHING. that's not a life to live so you are on the right track.don't give up. don't be embarrassed. don't be shy. at the very LEAST, write her a letter stating how you feel. there is obviously a mutual connection but during this time, you both have felt the other rejected the other. you both are feeling the same things. what you are feeling now, she is probably feeling so try to understand her through how YOU are feeling right now. once you grab hold of more understanding to this situation, the easier it will be to approach her without feeling rejected or stupid or out of place.i disagree with the advice given above 100%. sometimes we have to push ourselves out of our own comfort zones to know what is right from wrong. to make those mistakes and learn from them. to push ourselves to be better people until we die.what i see between you and this girl is a mutual connection. stop letting her friends be the go between. approach her and get it over with whether her friends are there or not. they already know what's going on anyway. whatever you do is going to get back to them so it's not really that important that you have to approach this scarlet privately. also, if they didn't approve of you for their friend "scarlet", they would never be approaching you on their friend's behalf. read between the lines bud.lastly, you have an opportunity here to experience something that you would not normally experience if you keep this loner attitude. this connection between you and her happened naturally DESPITE how you wanted to keep in character of who you think you are and what type of life you want to lead. let it continue to happen naturally. learn something new about yourself. and for god sakes, be honest with this girl. let her know you're an idiot in this area. allow her to help guide you in to helping you feel more comfortable when you feel out of place right now. and whatever you do, STOP AVOIDING HER! if you feel like making eye contact, MAKE EYE CONTACT. LOOK AT HER if that is what is guiding you NATURALLY. don't fight nature. you will only be hurting yourself AND her.good luck. let me know how it goes.

i am confused. if you like skulls, why wouldnt' you hang out with other people who like skulls? is there something wrong with those people? :)i think people look too deep in to things just to conclude something that isn't even there. i don't think it's a christian issue. in fact, there is nothing wrong with taking an interest in skulls. you said it yourself. YOU are a christian and like skulls. i think it's more of a people preference. to me, an interest in skulls is no darker than working around dead bodies, but someone has to. i think harlot is correct. skulls can be related to witchcraft or "magik" but that doesn't mean that someone who is intrigued by skulls is in to witchcraft. it's pointless to make comparisons that lead nowheremy point is, as long as you are a good person with good morals and values(i know it's all relative. i don't want to debate those words or define them), then i don't see how being intrigued by skulls is a bad thing whether you are a christian, or even a witch. it's ok to have strange tastes that don't get accepted in general society. plus, if people tend to just follow the crowd, they would be boring.....but accepted :)just be yourself and don't worry so much about what others think....

if you are going to continue to spam, you might as well do it in the right category. this is like the 10th post i noticed in the wrong category

i don't like plugins that prevent spam comments personally. it's the lazy man's way to control spam. i have my comments set to admin approval. i would rather look through all of them myself. once in a while, you have spammer who will spam your blog non stop with comments. with that, you just block the ip directly. the reason why i don't like spam filters is the same reason why ligitimate mail gets sent to your spam folder. i hate that! so although i have my own opinion on that akismet plugin i never enabled, i can see the purpose for it.kindlewirelessreadingdevices nobody will ever search for the other one people search for. as well as the non plural word which actually gets more searches where i am on the second page for that as well without doing much. but i will take a piece of the 7,000 searches once i get on the main page but my mind is elsewhere right now.....i think my next post on how to seo will be about how to get ahead of the bigger websites like amazon. according the my example site, amazon holds the top 3 spots. people think it's tough to get ahead of them, but it's not as hard as people think if they realize the legitimate theories behind seo and not assume too many false theories and rumors.problem is, i've been busy with two other projects. i'm going to start my own make money online website, and i have just purchased 4 domains for a niche i plan to work on as soon as i get my hosting resources upgraded. two time consuming projects. i will try to fullfill my commitment i made earlier in this thread(there is absolutely no doubt i can do it), but time is money and there is more money in the other two projects. plus, it's been a dream and goal of mine to help people make money online. there is too much false information floating around and a lot of people fail because of it and they give up. i can realistically help some start making $100 a month in 2 months which would grow to $2,000 a month after a year(realistically). so if time permits, i will try to fullfill my commitment, but i wont be holding my breath.stay tuned for my next update in how to seo!

not me. i have no life yea, members loggin' in have slowed down about a month ago. not two weeks ago. it was slowing down before the name change so whoever thinks it was because of the name change is mistaken(as far as members logging in). i'm not really sure about the guest stats. today especially has been one of the slower days though with less than 50 unique members logging in so far before the end of the day.

so i have a theory about this. it either means less members are getting hosted and leaving, or it means too many mycents are being given out where people don't feel they NEED to post or be here. although there has been some long term members that have been logging in less and less as well. if you look at the top 20 posters, half don't even log on anymore so it's a new generation of posters like ashbash and sky who who are some of the regulars now but warned several times and suspended for a week or two.

only opaque knows if the hosting account #'s are the same. if so, then too many mycents are being given out. if this is true, then this is an easy fix while still paying back to members in other ways. i have made several suggestions to benefit this place. i'm blue in the face now so i just have to wait and see. even the mods don't log in and post as much.

but one last things here, this forum, like everything else goes in cycles. it has it's ups and down times. always had but looking at the last 3 years, it has gradually been going down and down. i have a theory about this too. every since the social networking sites came on the scene, it has been the new age of communication. i have predicted the downfall of the typical forums for a while now and i don't think this place is the only one suffering.

the best the members can do right now besides staying active is to advertise Xisto on you websites, blogs, and social networks. if you are a regualr member, you should be doing this because the more active members, the more to post about. the more to post about, the more mycents will be handed out to the active members for free domain names and hosting. so if people are noticing the desert like experience here and posting about it, do something about it and advertise to your friends and your websites. i do it. so should you! i don't just complain and do nothing about it

so i challenge people to advertise if you like this place and it benefits you in any way. if it does you, it might just benefit your visitors and friends!

i agree with you eza. i don't know if you are a new member or just an old member with a duplicate account, but you have hit on something that most everyone has been recognizing for a while. especially the members who have been here for 1+ years. you sound more like an old member with a dup account.the ideals are correct, but realistically speaking, there is more to it than that and it's going to take everyone working together and there has to be a plan in place so everyone is on the same page.i also agree that the atmosphere needs to be uplifting and positive for others to want to feel comfortable to post. on the other hand, things have sort of gone down hill so much and over a long period of time, that positive and uplifting atmosphere will be harder to re-create. i believe something drastic needs to change and the admins are unwilling to take drastic measuresi've been meaning to post in the vent about what's been going on and offer solutions. unfortunately, some people will take it negative. sometimes being polite doesn't accomplish anything. sometimes being polite can get you ignored or walked over. sometimes having a soft voice wont get you heard.sorry if i brought a negative tone to a relatively positive and limited topic. for things to be objective, all sides need to be heard. but i did very much like your post and the tone you brought to the topic. i will be posting my more specific views at a later time and in another thread.

donate it. when i went to africa, they were VERY short on computers. i was told they would take anything thaty worked. didn't matter how old. they were short on everything and computers in some parts of africa are non existent, but needed. so donate it and know it will be put to good use.

yea, i had to ditch apple when the mac came out. there was no way i was going to spend 3.5k on something i didn't need. plus there was a lot more software for the ibm compatibles back then. so instead, i invested $1500. but yea, when i was working in post production, all we used were macs. very powerfull but not suited for everyone unless your primary business is sound/video/graphics. i too don't understand why someone is venting with hate after buying their mac. they should have already realized how expensive they were and why. and where in the world are you buying a new mac computer for $1000 these days unless you are talking about a mini mac.?!? from my understanding, they are still about double that price.

if people were perfect or people understood life fully, there wouldn't be hidden truths. there is a reason for everything even if people don't search out the "why's". when people judge other people without asking the "why's" FIRST are the ones that need the most help because of the "hidden truths" that are sometimes so exciting to figure out or realize.unfortunately, i had seen a man slap a woman before when i was driving..... but before jumping to conclusions, i decided to park my car and watch how the situation would progress. although slapping a woman is wrong, so could be interfering in what i feel is wrong. thus, i waited and watched when it would have been REALLY easy to jump to my first conclusion to protect.if people can't be open to the possibilities, how can those same people see any hidden truths or even see a belief that may have a stronger meaning than their own. "hidden truths" are only as realistic or important as one chooses to live their life. to some, there are no hidden truths because they think they may know it all or right in their opinions or beliefs. to others, there will always be hidden truths because they are open enough to see how they may be right or wrong in any situation or at least strive to do so.most hidden truths lie in the fact that there is usually right and wrong in any situation depending on how you look at the situation but nothing is limited by right or wrong. only by the sacrifices by our own choices when there are certain benefits to any choice. this is what makes life hard at times but helps build character when we can see those hidden truths and make choices based on them.

One post every fifteen minutes? I believe that was a random problem faced by some members (including me) at some parts of the day. There were times when I couldn't post for half-an-hour, but usually I was able to make 2-3 posts within 15 minutes. Anyway, that is the thing of the past - I can see that the new system is much more efficient and encouraging. I gave myself a gap of two hours and once again the counter has reset to 25 posts So when we take a break, the counter does too
