  1. Why I could use ads:If everything goes well, my site will be used for our school organisation called "Sch?ler Vertretung" and we represent the pupils in our school and we can use the money we gain for our school and our pupils (eg: somewhere to site during break ). But we don't have enough money to pay for hosting, but we could still make good use of money obtained through ads!I think thats reasonable and I might test this ad-service

  2. I really love that game! It was a game which actually made me want to beat it :PAnd there is no scene which isn't ingame and that makes the atmosphere really great - of course, the sound helped with that :PI didn't even noticed when I jumped into a new level... superb! :)But Valve stole my CD-key...I tried to install it on a new pc and it didn't work. Instead of that it told me that the CD-key was already in use... yeah from/by (which word has to be used here ?) me!That was frustrating, but nevertheless this game is awesome! :P

  3. I played the demo and found out, that the sound is really great. I don't know what you have for Soundsystems, but I have a pretty strong subwoofer and when cannons fire I feel a punch in my stomache :P and these cannon sounds are really loud, which makes it very cool!Graphics are, of course, great. The physics makes the game fun to look at as the enemies are flying when they are hit by a cannon ball... and crash into something :) or go diving :PI want that game! :P

  4. No offense, but...I still don't understand why so many people are so excited about the Xbox 360... The Ps3, as long as sony keeps his promise, will be a lot faster, support a higher resolution and the most ridiculous thing about the "media"-console Xbox is that it won't support the future of mediaformats like Blue ray discs, which are readable for the ps3 (imagine a game which uses 50 Gb of space :) )I hope sony won't screw it up :PBut I've got to admit, that I never played a game for Xbox 360 :PAnd in the end it comes down to the decision each person has to do for himself...

  5. the googlemail server ist also pretty fast :P

But you can't divide your mails into subfolders, but instead of that you can label them and they will appear in your inbox with their specific predefined label.

What I really like about gmail is that you can feel that they put some work into that code, since it has alot of small features and I love small gimmicks like these features :) and of course that semi-unlimited space :P

Conclusion : Go for it! :P

  6. For me there is not even one reason to buy the Xbox360.

The Ps3 is going to be faster, more powerful, supports higher resolutions (ps3: 1024dpi* | xbox: 720dpi*), 2 screens at once, Blue Ray Discs (50 Gb!! | Xbox is only able to read DVD9), 7 (I don't understand that number) wireless controllers... and many more things... :)

Plus I don't really like the games for Xbox.

    * I don't really know what dpi means, though :P

  7. I live in germany and got ( dl: 6Mbit/s | up: 512 kbit/s ) The upload is not fast enough for me... but I can't complain about the dl-speed :P

I already managed to get a traffic of >50 Gb in 4 days (I love anime :))

For those who don't reach the full speed of your stated connection - that's normal. You can increase your speed a bit with some programs like TCP/IP optimizer or something like that :P

  8. In my opinion IPB is still the best boardsoftware and I don't even like the vBulletin...I found the IPB 2.1.x admin panel to be pretty easy, since the whole panel is divided into several parts, which makes searching faster! In comparison to that the vB was overwhelming... even after weeks of using, I was still searching for one and the same option... it was almost driving me mad :D

  9. Who could use that for personal use ? Me!I'm watching Anime and I have seen around 100 at least. Plus, I'm storing Mp3's and Soundtracks (mostly of the anime :D) and I think I would have exceeded 1 TB already, when i wasn't deleting or copying them to DVD.And I would really like to store them for an eternity on my Harddrive :D(example: a full Ranma 1/2 package is 40 Gigs big! - It's a big anime, though)How expensive are big external Harddrives, anyway ?And what are blades ? Aren't blades big storages ? Or at least something like that ?

  10. Are you searching for a database service without hosting ?

Maybe the service I had was just bad, but the forum, i needed the database for, was pretty slow due to that external database :D

But, why don't you just wait for your Xisto database ? :D

by the way, which is better?

MySQL or PostGRESQL ? < doesnt have to be answered, since this is probably the wrong section for asking ;)

  11. At http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ you can register domains like domain.de.vu, .de.**, and far more weird endings :D
If you just want a domain, to have a domain :D, instead of long paths in the URL this site is super! i like and I use it ;)
But when you register a domain you normaly get a banner or something, but that can be turned off in the configuration of your domain at nic.de.vu

  12. I'd like to give you a good tip, but I forgot the name of a webaplication software, which claimed to be able to push your sites up!

The programmer gave many examples of his sites, which were all in the top ranks, or even on the first place, I can't remember... :D

The mainpurpose of this post is to tell you, that there is a (claimed to be) easy way of getting to the top ranks :DNote: You have to pay for it ;)

But I will search for the software and maybe I will find it again...

  13. I don't think that they will create an OS, since their main goal is to provide better ways of getting information around the world. At least, that is what they stated :P

And an OS would'nt really help to get information around the globe... only around your own Harddrive :D. Sure, some parts of an OS could help to further move in the direction of creating good ways of trading information, but much of an OS is for working/gaming for yourself or maybe for your company (probably not the gaming part ;)). And I think that wouldn't be something for google...

I hope you can understand my opinion as i'm not that good at presenting my informations :D
