  1. It depends on the search engine, but usually it's better to stick to one way and not use both at the same time or at least use a redirect at htaccess level.

    So basically it depends on the subject of your sites, if it has some relevance with your main top level domain site, you can create a subdirectory, if it's a different site it seems it's better to use a subdomain. :D

    Thanks for the reply Quatrux, and the link to that first post. I've decided to try out a subdomain and links between each site because the content is unrelated. :)
