well i m using firefox 4 beta 4 and i think it is good. although i wish that when you make app tabs they stay when you open firefox another time. instead of being back to normal the next time you go onto a new instance of firefox. so overall i'd give this new firefox a 7/10 good but not perfect hopefully by the official release it will be good enough to achieve 9/10 or higher from me.

i d recommend the latest parts, maybe a mid range quad core or even some of the 6 core processors out there but they are really costly. a ati graphics card since in my opinion they are more advanced (gddr5 faster clock speeds more shader cores) its the shader cores that make the biggest difference not just the total amount of memory i upgraded from a card with 8 shader cores to 60 shader cores and it made a unbelievable difference with the same memory btw. a ddr3 motherboard, see if its got 4 memory slots as you can usually have a higher amount of memory with 4 slots. i wonder if you can put a computer in a fridge?

in some places technology has increased productivity and lowered the price but also means you need less workers so people lose their jobs. technology has allowed us to bridge the gaps between different groups of people, on the internet everyone's the same but the internet provides an area in which online criminals are harder to catch. computers are advancing faster each year. because i remember in 1999 when i was 6 i had a computer which was average at that time but now it would be regarded as a snail.

science may be able to one day answer all of our questions but this topic does not say if they are the right answer. in that case you could ask a computer what is the sun made of, the computer tells you cookies but you know that is not right. in my opinion we could use science to answer our questions but then we need to check the answers to see if they are right. instead of saying cars are blue, that would be a right answer but you can have your car any colour you want so any colour is the right answer. what i mean in the previous sentence is that for some questions there are multiple answers.

my firefox wth loads of tabs open is not a resource hog. i don't like internet explorer because of how it has roots which extend into your system files. this is something which is internet explorer acting like a doorman to viruses saying welcome conflicker c has a nice time. my firefox only uses 3-10% of my cpu and 150,000k of my memory. this is only a small impact on my 4gb of memorey. although i am planning on geting another 4 gb to fill the other 2 slots on my motherboard since it has 4 spaces. i might even invest in 4 4gb sticks since my computer can handle up to 16gb of memory.

depends on the material really people can edit it at will and put whatever they want into the site. sometimes i notice spelling mistakes and correct them so in that respect if the information entered has spelling mistakes then how do we know that the rest of the information is not even trustable. when your looking for information on the internet check multiple sources if you rely on one source you might get incorrect information.

change which programs load at startup believe me when you do it certainly speeds up the time t get the desktop loaded. my desktop loads in 10- 25 seconds simply because i have 4 gb, a 6.2 ghz processor (3.1ghz per core). i also have a nvidia geforce 9600 gt 512 mb graphics card. which by the way games run less laggy when my system is cooling effectivly. at first when i used to play grand theft auto 4 with it the game would lag. then i installed a case fan and on the same settings with no game updates it didn't lag. cooling can make all the difference in the world.

mine take less than 10 seconds to boot up, i have a amd athlon 64 x2 6000+ 3.1 ghz processor and i am also running windows 7 which also decreases the boot time. a effective way of increasing your boot time is to make sure that your computer is cooling efficently so that there is no heat decreases to be made when booting up.

you still don't get why ion propulsion is good, it works by sending masses out which as you get closer to the spped of light their mass increases along with yours. then when you launch them out the extra mass gives them extra energy. this means that you could infact reach the speed of light. then you need to find a way of travelling faster than light which is the concern.

you may think that but the hubble space telescope was a joint operation between nasa and the esa, and the uk space industry opened this year so there is another factor to the importance of space travel. the esa has also been developing ion engines and has a potential design, and a working model which needs to be made ready to enter space with all of the conditions that the engines would need to survive. also long before nasa started developing ion engines russia was already using them in satelites to prevent their orbit from decaying. this is a potential way to get to mars using ion engines which launch out small masses which as you know when you get closer towards the speed of light your mass increases, these masses would increase thus creating more speed.

also if governments think the money is the problem its not, in asteroids there are enough precious metals like gold, and more to make billions and thats from one asteroid on average. this means the money issues with space travel become, profit. nasa and other space industries such as esa could make alot of money this way and thus increasing money they spend on developing better space travel and enventually find a way to explore more of the universe.we might even be able to find the answer to fusion in space we might find a element which does not exist on earth (say because its half life turned it into a different element on earth). that could be brought to earth and there by solving the energy problems we have we would not need to depend on oil, and coal anymore and it wouldn't really put those companies out of business they could adapt to go into space to mine for that element bring it back and deliver it to a fusion plant.

have you ever looked how much resources ie now uses compared to firefox its like 10 times more. ie also posses more of a security threat since is is hardwired into your system files basically ie finds the virues and gives them a inventation to your system to have a party so i don't think ie is any better than firefox, also you can customize firefox but you can't customize ie.

couldn't they position solar arrays going from the sun to the earth which transfer their power wirelesses to each other and then down to a no fly restricted zone where it is collected and transferred to the power lines. then it would go through the same process as any other power, which would be to make it usuable for the purpose that it would be needed for this in my mind is the simple solution to the low power from the sun problem. another thing to try would be to try to collect the heat radiated from jupiter which is by far more than the amount that is actually delivered by the sun. some thing which could help with finding materials like metals that we need would be to collect asteroids bring them back to earth in specially designed space craft with a compartment designed to take them back to earth then they could be mined for metals, and even anything that could be used to generate electricy.

when you think about the warming we are experiencing is natural, the earths orbit differs and that is what we are going through. people saying were making the ice caps melt, well they are just left over from the ice age. greenlands snow cover is fading well that was the result of the little ice age so does that make a difference. also humans are not the biggest contributor of greenhouse gases. the things that do are volcanoes they emit sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere which has a more servere effect than the very small percentage of co2 in our atmosphere.the point is saying if the ice caps melt where will the polar bears go, they have nowhere to go if they fall in the water. wait polar bears are really good swimmers they can just swim back to shore so no worries there besides "global warming" *cough insert government copyright notice here* will be slow enough for polar bears to adapt to a slightly warmer climate at the poles. did you know even though this aparent warming is happening there is actually more sea ice at antartica than there was in 1980. so governments know where to stick it on that field.
