Life After Death? do you believe in it??
john94538 replied to baby bear's topic in Science and Technology
Well, the afterlife should last an eternity (you're dead, after all, there's nothing left!), but I don't think it's technically a delusion or dream. After all, that would make heaven a dream then, something that would shock many people about. This reminds me, if the afterlife was been proven to be nonexistent (through some miracle or something), wouldn't that mean that all of the beliefs of the world's main religions would drastically have to be changed? -
That statement is beautiful! It perfectly describes love:1) love mends and brings people together,2) love forgives and makes people forget any problem between the two of them, and most importantly,3) love trumphs over any worldly evil, problem, or object.

If we did have the technology to venture out there and look for other life, we probably would find something sooner or later... considering the vast amount of space in the universe (there are billions and billions of galaxies), there has to be some type of other intelligent life out there. After all, if the entire universe were to only contain us humans as the only intelligent source of life, it would be an awful waste of space. But I would definitely leave the missions of finding life out there to the people of the future, armed with better technology than us today - who knows, maybe the "aliens" might not be so friendly after all, and we would need better weapons and equipment.

Is It Worth It To Get Gmail ? Is Gmail Good?
john94538 replied to wazzupster0204's topic in Search Engines
Well, Gmail is excellent in terms of storage space and mail options. The interface is modern, and messages can be read with utter ease. The chat options are excellent, and the load time for the mail client itself is good. Yahoo, like you said, has a top-notch spam protection (even the basic!), but I would think about the spam protection on Gmail versus Yahoo before switching. -
1. OS: Windows XP SP2 (although Vista on my laptop loads everything faster)2. Web Server: Apache3. Database: MySQL database4. Dynamic page language: PHP mostly5. Page designer: none, just regular Notepad or Wordpad on Vista6. Graphic Designer: Paint.NETI don't use Photoshop, mainly because of the price of purchasing it. Instead, I find that Paint.NET has almost all of the features of Photoshop and has many developers working to upgrade it frequently with more options, all for one low price for $0.00.

Who Is Your Favourite Free Host? whats your fav free host?
john94538 replied to teartrack_sos's topic in General Discussion
After a LOT of experience with other hosting companies, including Googlepages, Freewebs, Byethost, Xtreemhost, and others, I think that this site, Xisto is one of the best, if not the best.Googlepages is a bit lacking on costumization, and lags on my computer. Freewebs is okay, but all the templates look too clean and uncostumizeable. Also they put advertisements after every 7 paragraphs per page, and only allow 20 pages maximum. The only good thing with them is that they have a good do-it-yourself password protection without the knowledge of htaccess, perfect for beginners.Byethost and Xtreemhost, I think, are related companies. Byethost's features aren't all that great, and many times redirect you to one of their pages. Xtreemhost is a good hoster, but also has the redirection problem.
