ok thanks all. i deleted this active object, kept the current homepage unselected and it worked... but what is this the "active object" what does it mean, also active x object? can somebody explain to me?. oh now i observed that the date i joined this forum 26 june is the same as of my birth day! whatever, this is a nice and helpfull forum.thanks very much.

now i got this problem in the picture. when i copied a link from the internet, and past it on the desktop, a massege said : are you sure you want to copy active object, as i remember, maybe not exactly that but i rapidly clicked ok...so that what happened!, it's the same as the web page at the corner of the desktop, and i can use it and the links in it are working!i changed the theme but it still. anybody can help me please

hi today i got a problem while try to use google when i open google, a sorry appears as follows: i typed the characters but it didn't work!i saw that it's not a virus, but i scaned the computer, and i used ad-aware and spybot, but they didn't detected anything. i deleted temporary internet files cookies and restarted the computer and the problem still. here i have a network of three computers by a router. i tried to open google on another computer and found the same problem; so i think the site detects my common ip address and do that but because google is set as my default browser, a type what i want to search in the address bar, and google opens with the search result but i still want to understand what is really happening and how to solve this problem. any idea? thank you. i have an "hp deskjet F370 (all-in-one) printer-scanner-copier"; it was working normally, but now when i try to print anything, when i click print, "save as" opens to save the file in an mdi format (.mdi). i also tried to open and print this new file, but with no result!!!

I have another problem ; when i start installing wmp 11, installation needs to validate windows guinune...advantage (something like that) and then it stops installing!!

I installed K-Lite Codec basic (full) and now i can play .mov videos in windows media player but with no sound

i had before i formatted the computer windows media player 11 that i could open quick time movies on it (.mov), but now it can't play .mov videos; i searched for packs, but i didn't find any. can anybody help me.

this computer i used to hibernate it before; but after formating, i can't hibernate it. i closed all programs but it's the same. there is enough space on the hard disk and i found the hiberfil.sys file; so what i have to do, delete this file in safe mode? and if i delete it can i hibernate the machine later?

hi alli want to enable hibernating on my computer with windows xp2; i go to control panel>>power options, then hibernate tab; i enabled hibernate, when i click apply or ok, then a window titled "power policy manager unable to reserve hibernate file" informs "the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"i tried many times to enable it, but it's the same every timecan anyone help me please?thank you very much

i use kaspersky anti-virus from a long time, and it is the most anti-virus that i liked; it is easy to use and efficient...i have windows xp2. from a few days, when windows finishs startup, kaspersky takes about 2 minutes to open (appear in the notification area); so i have to wait for it in order to use the computer; otherwise, the computer is very slow in these two minutes.i tried uninstalling the anti-virus but it didn't work. so if anybody can help me to solve this problem, i thank him very much.thank you all.

jimmy found the solution. when i changed the color quality from 16 to 32 bit; it worked and the white edges disappearedthank you jimmy, and thanks for all.
