Well, I can deal with the php but I don't know the benefits of the java side of things...which is why im currently php orientated... if i can understand why Java is wise to use with php then im happy to join forces with you but we'd need to talk about the project to see if you think it's needed... let me know anyway.

Hey guys, Im currently a one man army at the moment and well my game is progressing very slow as its taking me for ever to create I've done alot of the site how ever but in comparison to how much is left its not..... So was wondering if any one would like to help out...a team would be nice, slightly more enjoyable too in terms of creating a project right up to completion I was one working with a team and I much prefer that to doing it solo. My game isn't built for profit making so i cannot pay you before you ask. I'm making this site as a hobby and a learning experience, so if you are looking for that and like to work in a team effort then this could be something you could help out on! I am creating this site but at a loss of money.. it won't cost you anything obviously, so I wont be asking for money off any of you... my mate had a similar experience with people asking him for money, so i helped him out in the end which was fun which is why i kinda wish i got a team to build my site with me because it kinda stops you from going mental from reading code all the time hehe. But if any one is interested ....im happy to give you my email via pm so we can talk about it ... and ask questions about the game in pm too if possible cos it might look a bit like im advertising in here otherwise.. which i don't want to do that encase thats against the rules also. I would like to add you do need to know PHP, if you know other coding languages that is a plus. I'm not sure what else I can say I think I have sum'd it up as best as I could. Hope you consider it.

Hey guys,Im new here just thought i'd say hello! B)Im planning on creating a text based internet game using php/sql.. im sure many people have asked for this over the months/years hehe. Though at first when learning php thankfully i learnt visual basic and html in school and the logic of php is not to bad. All was looking good on that front. Though i think i underestimated how big of a thing this is for one man to do alone.I cannot for life of me even begin to think where to start :S Plus many of the tutorials i learnt from whilst reading sites over the months never really hit the nail on the head when it came to using the code in a text based game.What does php get coded in ? Cos if its notepad, it doesnt work for me when i save it as .php and run it in IE to see if it works. Its like i need to buy a server before i can even test the prgramming language ? Is there not like a program to code php and run the code offline to test it works ? I've no idea how some guys can make an entire game by them selves from self-taught... its crazy. Any help is appreciated.
