Hi ,

My computer AMD64 256mb RAM / 80GB HDD / Windows XP Professional

recently started showing a blue screen while starting ..

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent further damage to your computer .

Initially, if I restarted it would not come the next time. It used to come only randomly.

But later it started coming more often, and now it did not start for quite a few times consecutively.


Anybody knows what this is and how to solve it ?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... I almost DIED laughing there! Every single phpBB update brings MORE security holes along with patching the old ones... you shouldn't have to create a patch every other week. The current phpBB release: 2.0.20.... that number seems a little strange. You'd think by now they'd be at 2.5.0 after all the releases to fix holes. When do they plan on reaching 2.1??I'll drop you a PM.

And nightfox, i shifted from phpBB to SMF following your advice. i really loved the automatic mod installation feature, but had some problem installing mods. It asked for the FTP account details and i gave it, but while some files in the mod package show success , one or two show failed. My SMF is at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ while my phpBB is at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
i'm still figuring out the mods part. Might need help

From what I can see, you should probably enter ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (without the dot).

 

I had the dot problem too !

I was using zoneedit.com's nameserver. When I entered the ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. (with the dot) it did not accept it, and confused me for quite a while.

 

Later, in a fit of serendipity, I accidentally removed the dot and (click) !!! it worked.

 

But, I think Niran says that he already tried that .

 

I think this will help :

 

Set your nameserver to the one the domain name company provides.

 

Change the MX records settings in the domain name company's nameserver

 

Also add A name values as Xisto's IP address.

 

That is similar to what I did.

 

Try it and let me know if it works .

Isn't there any way to prevent these SQL injection attacks ?BTW, what is an SQL injection attack ?I'm using phpBB for my site and I loved the customizability. SMF seemed a little harder to use ( for me at least )Isn't there any way we can make phpBB safer ???

Just because it is the eccentric one, who is sometimes 8th and sometimes 9th around the sun; and it goes through the backyard and front of other planets' which has not been cleared .

Now for some Indian background, in Indian astrology Neptune and Pluto have been named Varuna and Yama. (Yama is the god of death - comes through the backdoor)

Varuna and Yama are digpals, guardians of two of the eight digs (directions) in Indian mythology.

The nine planets (grahas) according to Indian mythology and astrology are: Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Guru (or Brihaspati), Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu. Uranus, it is said, can be seen with the naked eye as a green speck, under favorable conditions. However, it generally twinkles a bit like stars.

Anyways - now we've just eight planets - all the astrologists have some major re-learning to do and predictions to re-write !
