Is anyone else gonna get this? It looks freakin' sweet.I already pre-ordered it, I am waiting for my beta invite, should be anywhere from yesterday-a few weeks before release >.>They have a stupid system which allows the City of Heroes players, who have been playing more than 12 months to have priority and they had to push back beta, because they didn't realize how many of them there was. For us people who bought the pre-order (A measly 5 dollars) we are the last on the chain to be allowed in.Well, i'm excited none-the-less.

Sweet home for the Orginal 8bit Nintendo has got to be the best rpg I have ever played. Too bad I had to get a translated rom, since we never got it in the states, and I can't figure out why.The idea behind it is, your like.. paranormal invesgators, and you are checking out this old mansion. When you enter you encounter a powerful entety that destorys the only way out.now you and your party has to find a new way out. There are 4 or 5 party members, each with their own unique tools, which you use to get around obstilces. An example is, when the entety destroys the exit, it leaves big piles of glass on the floor, so you use the charater with a vacume to vacume it up.Also your tools work in combat, the charater with a lighter is awesome in combat situation with bugs, the flame on the lighter frys the bugs. Also the combat is intresting, you face a slew of paranormal monsters, not limited to ghosts, skeletons, body parts, haunted dolls, ect. You also face a number of bugs and animals that have now made this place their home. You dont have any real weapons, just stuff you find laying around and can use. Another thing I like is the magick system which is a prayer system. To add danger to the game, things can happen without a moments notice, lights can fall from the celings, ect. This also has to be one of the most graphic NES games I have ever seen, featuring decapation, rotting corpes and bloody skeletons, for a Nintendo game, its pretty gorey. The games awesome, Id link you all to it, but I am sure it would be breaking some sort of community standards.

Right now I guess this is how people are refering to Zelda that should be out sometime this year. I don't know what they plan to call it in reality.Have seen screen shots, and it looks awesome. But i have a question about it.Does anyone know what the plot for the new Zelda is supposed to be?I have been wondering, because I have JUST beat Wind Waker a few hours ago, and it leaves me wondering the future of the Zelda Series. For those of you have played the game you already know.. They explain, at some point in time, the Hero from the N64 series leaves to help another kingdom under fire, and he is removed from the elment that made him a hero, as a result the part of the triforce he carried was shattered into 8 shards and scattered around hyrule. While the hero was gone, Gannon re-appeared, but the hero did not. As a last resort, the people prayed to the gods for help and the gods sealed both Gannon and Hyrule under water, and had a few people start a new community above the waves on the tops of the mountains of Hyrule, which makes up the islands in the new game.In the new game, a new hero is realised, and he does what he needs to do, in the end, after reviving the master sword, savng the bloodline to princess zelda, stopping gannon and reviving the triforce, he leaves with a group of pirates to unknown parts. Now here is the question. What is the new Zelda going to cover? Will it cover perhaps the adventures of the lost hero of old? Or will it cover the new adveutres of the new hero and princess?Or are they going to pull a complete 360 and do something totally unrealted?

never got the chance to play Doom 3 for the PC, my computer is a piece of evilzombiez. Anyways, so I pre-ordered Doom 3 for Xbox from Walmart, and I just got it in the mail tonight. So I popped it in.The first thing Id like to say is it looks good. In my own opinion, it out does Halo 1 or 2 by 100 fold, no 10,000 fold. Anyways.. ;;For those of you who havent played, you are a Earth Marine who is sent to this coperation on Mars, which is running not very nice expierments. Something goes wrong, and you end up running though rooms full of zombies, demons and posssed soilders. What I like the most about the game, is the fact that they KEPT the feeling of the orginal Doom, even the gameplay, but totally enchanced it. I felt like, when I first got the Shareware verion of Doom, I was so excited. I felt giddy right down to my toes. Playing this game gave me a sense of nalstaga. (Spelling?)It takes a *little* bit to actully get your guns and armor, but once you do, its non-stop action in almost every hall and room. And in the next few moments of the game, you'll end up finding 3 or 4 weapons. A hand gun, shot gun, machine gun, gernades are a few of the wepaons Ive found right now.The game is litterly scare, they take the thoughts and feelings of some of the most classic, most scarey horror movies and incoperate it into the game. Form the rooms you walk in, from the monsters to the music it plays.I am 100% serious when there were times I actully feared a room, just because of the music that was playing at the time. The music dosent play all the time though, only at proper times, and they got it freaking perfect. The monsters are also awesome, anything and everything can come crawling out of air shafts, door ways, shadows, or even teleport into the room from hex style portals in the floor. Whats even cooler is the fact that bodies littler the floors in lots of rooms, and at almost any time, any number of these can spring to life. I have litterly heard something and turned around to come face to face with some rotting horror and I have already jumped a few times.Another thing they added, and as far as I can see so far, it has no effect but scaring the hell out of you. Your vision goes red, and you hear all these voices and laughing, as if something is trying to break into your mind, you charater is paralized and suddenly you'll be yourself again. It has happened to me randomly in a number of rooms so far. This is one of the very few reasons to get an Xbox if you dont have a computer, or one that can't run Doom 3 properly. 10/10 danm its good.

Today I got my tax return, so I paid off the rest of my PSP on Layaway and picked it up. Along with that I also picked up Metal Gear Ac!d, Lumines and Wipeout Pure.I opened the box to find alot of papers and pamthlets, and a very thick book. I always liked how sony gave you big books with your purchases, it just makes them feel more important.Along in the box I got Spider Man 2 the movie, a demo disk, a soft-slip carrying case, a hand strap, a 32MB DUO card, a wipe cloth, a batter pack, headphones and a remote control with the headphones. The movies came in cheap cardboard slip cases, I wasnt very happy with that. But what are you going to do? The movies look great and sound great.Almost all of the accessories you get are really cheaply made, the headphones are of poor quality, and the slip-case wouldnt protect from much. The only things I did like were the controller and the movie. The battery pack had to be charged, so I had to wait another hour before I could even turn on my sony PSP.I turned it on, the screen is very nice. I can't stress this enough, its got to be the best damn screen i have ever seen. Its clear, crisp and brilliant. Best screen eva. The stero system on it is also pretty rocking and does a good job with the music on Wipeout Pure and Lumines. You can also crank it up pretty high. The games, well they look good. They totally screw the DS and GBA over. 100 times over in fact. It looks just like a PS2.The buttons are all placed very well on the system. And the analog stick, inisnt a stick, but a button on like... I dunno, it slides in all directtions. But dont get me wrong, it feels great and works well. Some of the ports on the Sony PSP I didnt care for, the covers feel a little cheap here and there. Especially the cover for the battery and the cover for the memory card slot, I am sure in a week or so they will be broken if I am not careul. The loading times are great, except for wipe out pure, it takes like a min to get to the title screen. But its still a very good game.in the end, I am very happy with my purchase and cant wait for the summer and fall line up. The sony PSP has got to be the best portable I picked up.

Okay, recently I started getting an error when trying to run a particular game (Neverwinter Nights, to be precise). It started causing the 'Access violation' windows error message, with the OpenGL32.dll being the problem. I posted it on the NWN support boards, went about my business. Reinstalling DirectX and my graphics driver was suggested, I did so. Now, nothing that requires Direct3D works at all. Nothing. When running dxdiag, and using the 'Test Direct3D' button, the following errors come up:Direct3D 7 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x887602eb (error code)Direct3D 8 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086a (3D not available)Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086a (3D not available)I have tried running scandisk, defragmenting, and checking for viruses, all before reinstalling graphics drivers and DirectX, and they are the latest drivers for my card. They worked before, so I have no idea why this has started happening.Any other suggestions?

Recently, my better windows computer decided it wanted to delete some files, and not it won't start up. (Maybe I got a virus, all I know is on startup I get quite a few missing file errors). So, to back up data, I took a harddrive from another windows computer and put it in the one that didn't work, so I get boot from that one and restore my data (Yeah, I know, I should've done it the other way around). So on startup, the working windows one gives me all those "New Hardware Found" messages (obviously, it's in a new tower). I install everything as best I can. Right now, I'm on the working windows, getting ready to back up about 10 gigs of stuff to my MP3 player. But the problem is, it seems to be going -really- slow. I mean, this isn't the best computer, but it should be going faster than this. 1.0GHz PIII, 384MB of RAM. I mean, it freezes up when I have winamp, wizchat, AIM, and firefox open. Even if I'm just using winamp and firefox, my music pauses and skips often because the computer slows down. Anyone have any idea why it does this? Or what I can do to fix it? I went to the System Properties thing, and it does say 383MB of RAM, but for processor it only says "x86 family 6 model 8 stepping 6". The only thing I can think is that windows thinks it's still trying to use the other processor (which is a 266MHz), but I don't even know if that's possible. -Razor Blaze

Please excuse my language should I use anything too terrible. I'm so pissed right now. We just got a new computer and I was thinking of developing C++ projects on it. So, I go to download both the Microsoft Express Visual C++ and the Microsoft Platform SDK. Everything works fine. I install Microsoft Express. I'm in the process of installing the SDK, and my mom says those dreadful words 'My turn.. my turn..' What the &*%# do you mean your turn? I hate those words. She could just say 'let me use the computer', yet she insists on saying it like my brother would. So, I get off and my mom closes out the installation. It's not even added to the registry, what a %&$#. Now I can't reinstall it, uninstall it, nor can I include it in the Microsoft Visual Express. Can anyone help me uninstall it or icnlude it correctly in Microsoft Visual?

I always regret buying my Xbox, modded or not, and usually few reasons why I don't, those reasons: Fable, Doom 3, Strangers Wrath, Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, and now Half Life 2.I already own Half Life for PS2, so when I saw Half Life 2 was out, I had to decide, Xbox or Computer. Computer would be harder to pirate, since I dont have any money to buy it now, and I had a free game rental coming from Family Video, so I went with Xbox.I can only say this, the game is out standing. Most FPS games rely on just blowing people away alone, shooting stuff, running, getting a key, and shooting more. Half Life 2 is a great balance of puzzles and action, and makes a great game out of it. You won't be fireing your gun the entire time, but your gun wont be forgotten either. The story, in my opinion is pretty good, I like it alot, and the small bits of comedy they add in to it are a pretty good touch, it shows, even when you are in a horrible position, you always have time to laugh.
