One factor that you should consider is if you are going to leave your computer stationary, or if you have a notebook which you will be moving around with and using throughout your home. I have a wired LAN because for one reason, it is cheaper and also because I bought my router several years ago when the wireless routers were pretty expensive. I have heard some people say that if their telephone runs on 802.11g and your wireless router also does that you can get kicked off the internet when the phone rings. I don't know if this is a true statement or not, but it may also be something you should look into. I remember being on 56k dialup and it was pretty annoying getting kicked off whenever the phone would ring! If you have a notebook with a wireless ethernet card built into it, the wireless internet is a great thing to have. It allows mobility and I havent noticed any performance difference when I am at school on their wireless LAN, or at home on my wired network. If you decide to purchase a wireless router, make sure that you set all of your passwords and have good security because of course, a wireless network is easier to breach. I do see wireless internet becomming more dominant in the future, but do some research before making your choice.

Ok thanks for the information guys, I figured that the 1GHz would also increase the speed, but i don't know very much about these types of things.

I have a mini and the scrren got scratched on that, I don't think that it can be easily prevented unless you buy a case for it. I recommend buying the nano, plus I like its clean interface.

yeah I was disappointed when my teacher told me in my class we were going to use lasso. I know its not very popular, I think im going to try and learn php from looking around on the internet.

I learned Java first in my school and a year after I learned C++. I think that c++ seems to be an easier language to learn, but they are both very similar. I personally liked learning the hard stuff first, and now c++ is a breeze to program in.

I am in a web design class at my school and for databases and server side functions we use Lasso. I am interested in creating a free hosted website from Xisto and I am not sure if Lasso is supported by their free servers. My teacher told us that after we learn Lasso that it would be easy to adapt to other languages like php, and I wondered if this is true or not.

The most addicting game for me is Diablo II because I have always gotten bored of other games and have gone back to it. I have been playing the game for about 5 years now.

I dont know very much about the hardware side when it comes to computers, and I am looking to buy a new processor and mobo to upgrade from my current system. I have been looking on newegg and I have narrowed my search down to two differnt processors. They are both AMD 64 bit processors and one runs at 2.2 GHz with a 1GHz FSB and the other one runs at 2.4 GHz with a FSB of 800 Mhz. I want to know which one is better. It would be great if you could maybe try and explain to me what the difference would be. Thanks! Also, I see that some people recomend buying a thermal compound to lower the temperature of the processor and I don't know if it is worth buying some or not.
