  1. Honestly, I've been waiting since the release of the PS2 for this game.  All I can say is, it's about F*%*# time!

GT3 is still by far the best driving simulator out there.  From what it looks like, GT4 will meet and beat anything GT3 had to offer.

my older brother said GT4 is awesome, they spent almost a day playing it instead of partying that night.

  2. My modem does not make that connections sound, but it connects to internet. What might be the problem, why my modems speakers dont work?

    Notice from szupie:
This does not belong in the Tutorials section. The tutorials section are only for topics that start with a tutorial. Read the rules carefully. Moving this to here.

usually that is a good thing, there is a volume setting usually in the properties of it or a disable/enable. God i hate that noise XD. But now i have ADSL.

  3. I'm wondering if you can get around the logging of visited websites on a school network. I have a friend who has a laptop for wardriving, and he can get into the school wi-fi, but you have to log into it. It isn't a problem for us, because we have a admin account, but it will log our web activity, eventually tracing it back to us. We don't plan on looking up porn, or shat like that, but it will show that we were logged in after school hours. Is there a way to block the logging that anyone knows of?

  4. Hi Friends,

For our office LAN we need a software so that we can enable voice chat between the employees. The software should be FREE. Have anybody any idea about this kind of software.

    Any help would be apprieciated.

    Thanks in advance.

the easiest, most cleariestest, most reliable thing is Ventrilo. Setup the server on one of the computers, obtain its internal ip and connect using its internal ip and the default port 3784. You will have to edit the voice codec which is not hard. The readme tells you how to edit it in its .ini and there is a forum post if your search on http://www.ventrilo.com/ forum and a guy gave a list of the codecs used and their numbers to use in the .ini Most gamers use this because it can sound so clear like you are talking to the guy in person.

  5. i am not able to make a password for a guest account on xp home.  the only options are to change the photo or turn that account off...

Ok...i did as you said but it did not work.  i am sharing my entire c drive and i am able to access everything except for my personal my documents folder...any other suggestions?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

this is where the fun part comes in, in control panel there is administrative tools (in classic view) go to computer management local users and group and then users right click on the guest account and set password is there and the rest is 2 + 2 = 4

  6. I'm trying to setup a home network at my house but I'm having some problems.

I make a new network and everything, and I can see the computers but I can't access them. It says that I don't have permission or something.

I have a desktop computer that is connected to the router using ethernet cable and a laptop that has wireless connection.

Any ideas on what am I doing wrong?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It means you may not have anything shared on the computer. And i dont know how this works but my network used to ask for passwords, and i took the passwords off the guest accounts (too keep certain people off the computer but are now gone) and it didnt ask for the passwords anymore.

  7. Your knowledge and opinions on Bittorrent please.  I've used it till recently when my father discovered of its use and shut it down.  He is extremely paranoid of any P2P program (had to play system admin one too many times) and won't allow any on the network.  He thinks that anyone can get into his personal files and data by me using Bittorrent.  Is his assumption true?  I know some of the torrents include spyware etc but then again, can't any download?  Is Bittorrent itself safe to use - provided that the download is clean?

    Thanks.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well i have used torrents alot and havent had any problems. Programs like Kazaa, Morpheus, and limewire were easier for hackers and created a virus on one of my old computers.

  8. Hi, I have a similar problem to another user here, except mine deals with Windows 98 and XP.

I have a Windows 98 desktop in the living room and a Windows XP laptop in my room.  They are both connecting to the internet wirelessly without any problems.  Both have an assigned IP address by the router and their IP settings/addresses are set to automatically get one from the router.

For the 98 machine, I have chosen a folder (c: drive - is that ok?) and right clicked on it and went to Sharing...Then I gave it a name and clicked on Full Access.  Entered a password and confirmed it.  I made sure both the 98 and XP machines are on the same workgroup (MSHOME).  I called the desktop PC, "DESKTOP".  Then I wen to my XP laptop and went to Start->Run and typed in \\DESKTOP and hit OK.  Shouldn't that bring up the c: drive on my desktop PC?  It gave me an error.  I went into Network Places->View Workgroup Computers and only see my laptop listed there.

TCP/IP is checked and it's set to automatically get a new address (not static).

Both computers have ZoneAlarm as the firewall program.  I'm not sure if that may be causing the problem, but I don't want to ever turn the firewall program off if it's not necessary.

    Thanks.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

the thing abouts routers is their purpose is to try not to use firewalls by blocking the ports. XP has a firewall built in so using zonealarm on the xp could make it worse from what i heard (some issue when 2 firewalls are used a protection can be shut down). Also with a router you may not even need the fire wall anyways. If that doesnt work try seeing what the router is setup as (You have to use a computer wired to the router to connect to it). The XP firewall shouldnt be a problem for if you install the network correctly with the floppy disk it makes for you it configures the firewall for network.

  9. I actually used to use this spyware combo in my old computer, and it happens to be a really good one.  The main spyware program that you need to first get is called Spybot S & D, which is a free spyware blocker and deleter program.  It's a very handy program, and it can be found at this address: security.kolla.de.  You can download it for free, and it has some credentials, which is a plus.  Then, the next bit to get to finish it off is the Spyware Blaster.  Spyware Blaster is a free spyware install preventer, if you will.  With the both of them, you get a pretty much unbeatble wall of spyware protection.  The location of the Spyware Blaster is:http://www.brightfort.com/spywareblaster.html.  Those two products actually work together, so it doesn't get much better.

Oh, and you can find different download sites for those, those just happen to be the main sites.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

use Ad-Aware, S&D is useless. If you have a firewall then you dont need zonealarm or trend micro (If you dont have a firewall vice versa). CCleaner is a good file cleaner upper and cleans out the registry too. It also allows you to control what starts up when windows starts up and lets you delete entrys or uninstall programs not shown in the uninstall menu.

  10. i have a total of eight hard drives in my computer ;) ;) i am very happy to say that. i have a server case, duh. three of the hard drives are scsi each drive is 9 gigs...yeah i know...so thats 18 gigs total. then i have four ide hard drives which is 2 20 gigs and 2 6 gigs for a total of 52 gigs...so 18 + 52 is 70 gigs yeah ....then i have  a mac hard drive in there that is only 1 gig...i use that for my paging file...so 8 hard drives for a total of around 70 gigs. then i have an ide controller with 2 cd drives on there (one burner the other just a cd drive) and i have a cd scsi drive in there as well...my case is totally full...not to mention that i tossed ten fans into the thing. i have a cpu fan, three in the front of the case, one on the side of the case, three in the power supply, and two on the back of the case. it is a wonderfull system that is dual booted with xp and vista beat. ;):);)

is that crazy everyone thinks so...yeah...even i do...

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

yeah it is a lil crazy, it uses more power than just 1 70GB hard drive. It would be smarter and probably safer to get bigger Hard Drives.

  11. Final Fantasy 7 is the best RPG/Adventure game ever made. The graphic may not me awsome. but the story is so good, you wont even notice the graphics. This game is hours long and will keep you in suspense with alot of things. This game is purely a classic. Squarsoft may never make a better final fantasy then 7. 10 out of 10

    second thoughts?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

FF7 was the best one ever. The graphics are like no other from its time.

  12. Ive been planning to create a online application which requires tons of stuff from database.
