  1. O.K. I'm really about to buy this game or I'm heavily considering right now anyways. I just have one question. Do you have to rely on grouping to get far in this game. Because, I played Everquest 2 and I loved the game for everything you could do in it.. but I just hated the grouping idea. I mean groups are fun and thats how games should be played sometimes, but you should be able to still level up with some decent speed by just doing things on your own too. Everquest 2 was really dependent on trying to find a healer, and a tank, etc or else your party wouldn't work out.Anyways post again and let me know how grouping is or isn't too required. (I'm not against it I just dont have time to wait an hour to group everyday).

  2. I want to try ITG sometime but I can't find it on playstation 2 yet. I don't like going to the arcades because it ends up costing way too much if you play it alot. I bought 2 metal pads and me and my g/f just play it at home whenever we feel like it (which hasn't been much lately). I also prefer to play it at home because its a little less embarising if you screw up at home than when 20 people are watching you.

  3. The game hasn't came out for retail to you guys yet? I don't currently have enough cash to buy it myself (got to save up for college tuition :) ) but my friend got it like 2 weeks ago. Its a really great game, very addicting I must say for an FPS game. I was hooked on this game from just playing it for about 30 minutes. When the game goes on sale I'll buy and play it with all of you guys. Its a great game for skilled or not skilled FPS players since you can always spend time riding the vehicles and trying to take over territories.

  4. I don't think it will ruin the classic game. I mean the classic is still the same no matter what they try to add on to it. But, I know what you're trying to say Dmaster14 they usually end up ruining it because they make mistakes in story etc. or they just rush the story line in general and it comes out wrong. I like to play sequels of games I really love just to see what they did to the story. Usually I'll rent the sequel first before I would go out and buy the game.

  5. I'm also really anticipating the Xbox 360. I think that the new increased graphics and high definition will really make the Halo series 'shine'. Yeah Halo 2 was a little rushed and I'm also worried about that with Halo 3 as they probably havn't had too much development time. But, without a doubt the game will be the best multiplayer Xbox 360 game for a while.

  6. I was just wondering if any else has ever tried out Dawn of War. Its a relatively new RTS that is based on the Warhammer 40K series table top strategy game. I thought it was a really great game when I started playing it from the get go. The multiplayer was really fun. You can now buy this game at stores for $30 and its very well worth that price. I recommend this game to anyone who has ever enjoyed games like Starcraft and C&C.

  7. Well, another way you can relive those classics is by going to the mall and buying one of those "5000+ games" controller things. They plug directly into your t.v. and use either batteries or an AC adapter. They don't really have 5000+ games but if you get the one with the little gun in it you can play duck hunt, mario, dig dug and alot of other great games. Oh, even contra... I love contra...Anyways, thats my two cents I don't know if you have those at your mall but they try to sell them all the time at ours.

  8. My site is down right now too :P. I'm hoping it doesn't stay down for too long. I've only been with Xisto for a couple weeks so far and I like the service that I get especialy considering it doesn't cost a thing. I would recommend Xisto to anyone who wants free web hosting and I understand the fact that there are serverside problems every now and then and I'd rather have 99% uptime with these features than 100% uptime with geocities or any other advertisement based free web hosting.

  9. That sort of sickens me to hear that the school gets the rights to their project. I'm going to DeVry University and if they took the rights of any software that I make that would have a posibility of making money I would be very disapointed. They should keep the rights to what they made. But, anyways I agree it looks like it has some great possibilities with that mod. I'd love to see it grow into like an MMO game even if you could only have like 24 people in at once.

  10. Thanks for the story it was a great read. It doesn't give me much insurance as to the type of career I myself am planing on venturing into. I'm currently going to DeVry University where I'm learning CIS (Computer Information Systems - big fancy way of saying computer programer in general). I plan on going down a promised "Software Development Track" at DeVry and I want to join a software development company someday. Of course I'd love to go outside the industry and manage my own company but that isn't the easiest thing to do in the world (probably as hard as a highschool football player becoming NFL). In any case these situations are not right. I know of crunches and how they will be, but, I never heard of such a harsh work week in my life.

  11. In all honesty I havn't really played rogue but I did love NetHack with or without the new GUI display. I havn't played that game forever but it takes some getting used to to learn how to play it. It was one of the first text based action RPGs I ever played. Ahh... Now I feel like downloading and playing it all over again.. could never get to the bottom of the dungeon though.

  12. I think the ideas of making games into movies doesn't really affect how well the movie is going to do. The thing that is mainly going to affect it is the storyline and visual elements like neverseen said. If you take a movie with generally no storyline and try to add story to it - it just doesn't go too well. But, on the other end if you try to take story from a complex game (Final Fantasy) and try to shorten it down to 2 hours you might not do so well as you just can't keep all the storyline twists, and plots all at once like you could with a video game. Then again I think the best games to movies are movies like Tomb Raider, and Resident Evil. These games have plenty of action, story, and all the elements of movies. It also just depends on how they script it and screen play it lol. Thats just my two cents lol..

  13. I'm going to buy the full version soon (within the next few days). I love the demo so much. I stayed up all night playing it with my friend at his house. He is a great helicopter pilot and I'm getting good at using the guided missles. Anyone who loved the originals has to get this game. They made alot of new options that makes this game even better. I still don't know much about the commander stuff but, I'm sure I'll learn it as well as everyone else.

  14. I would have to agree Half-Life 2 and CS:Source are my favorite FPS games as of right now. Doom 3 was great and all but, I was interested enough to finish most of it, the graphics were amazing. Halo 2 will be an awesome PC game I think. I will have to get Halo 2 if they ever make a PC version and double so if they keep the scoring/stats system on bungee like they have now for the Xbox version.

  15. I have two of the really expensive metal pads. I havn't played it in a while but I love the game too. As soon as I start playing it again it is very difficult to stop because its so addicting! I agree I wouldn't want to play it out in the public but it is a fun way to stay in shape too.

  16. I'd say that Starcraft is another one of the best for older strategy. It was one of the first games wehre they tried to make three different races and make all of their units realitvely unique for each race. It has great story line and even better online play. And the best part is you can get it for really cheap too if you find it just by itself. I'd suggest the battle chest with the expansion pack because alot of people play the expansion still.

  17. They are also completely different genres in their own way. First off, WoW is massive multiplayer online. This means that hundreds of players play together at the same time. Guildwars is sort of set up like Diablo 2, the player makes a game and only a limited number of players get to join. Also, WoW is more team work and role playing based. Guild Wars has team work but it is mainly to level up so you can do player vs. player combat when you're stronger.
