My name is Rachel. I signed on to Xisto hoping to learn about web hosting and because I heard a lot of good reviews about it. I would like to host a family style site where I can show off family videos and pictures. I am the mother of two great kids aged 10 and 20 months. My daughter's name is Rain. She is the oldest of the two. My son's name is Noah. He is just hitting his terrible two's stage. Needless to say, my life is NUTS! But I love my family more than any thing and wouldn't trade them for the world.

What And Why You Believe please write logical posts.

I was raised in a home where religion was something that I saw on T.V. When I became old enough to understand what religion was I began to seek it out on my own. I believed that there was a God. I just had no idea who He was. When I showed interest in attending church a good friend of mine invited me to go with her to her own church. It was a Calvary Chapel christian church. I felt a great sense of peace in having a definition of who God is and what is required by God to be "saved" by Him. I spent years holding true to my "christian" beliefs. When I grew to be about 16 I started to question the authority around me and became turned off by what I can only call the hypocritical section of people who belong to the christian faith. I began to read into other faiths and religions that I had never given a chance or even heard of. In the long run I could only say that no one religion truely defines Me. They all have there good and bad parts in my opinion. I do know that I believe in God. That He is the almighty and that one day when I am with him in heaven or valhalla or what ever, then maybe my mind or soul or whatever there is of me will be able to comprehend the true meaning of life death and eternity. Until then I will qoute from another article I read about the true purpose of religion. This is the best way I can describe my religion or at least what I would want it to be if it existed : "A good religion will therefore only answer the following types of questions: "how can I better understand the world around me?", "how can I be more compassionate?", "how may I ease the suffering of myself and others?", and, "how can I lead a life that does not lead to pain and sorrow, and what can I do about it when I sometimes fail?" majestic frog: read the article: http://majesticfrog.livejournal.com/2485.html?nojs=1 -
The Nature And Purpose Of Religion

Good qoute from this article:A good religion will therefore only answer the following types of questions: "how can I better understand the world around me?", "how can I be more compassionate?", "how may I ease the suffering of myself and others?", and, "how can I lead a life that does not lead to pain and sorrow, and what can I do about it when I sometimes fail? I really enjoyed reafing this article. Iy was well spaken and easy to follow. The author has very strong points about the purpose of religion and what it's true untent should really be. I was asking myself recently why it seemed to be that Christianity is supposed to be about loving one another and doing unto others as you would have done to yourself and yet when you listen to the services on Christian radio stations most of the pastors are for the war not against it. Did they just forget there own values? -
Is this a real reflection of what you can expect to read about in religious threads? Only if every who is registered here is asked that same question. Not every one who is reading these posts is going to come to this page. This to me, is actually a reflection of what religious group out there has the most zeal and want you to know that there religion is the predominant one.

God's Role In Natural Disasters Gods warning or Nature at work?
rachelwase replied to hashbang's topic in General Discussion
I think it's arrogant to assume that God would send down judgment upon Thailand of all places. Here in The U.S. there aremore similarities to sodum & gamora than any where else. Americans are the most self centered people on the planet. If God was going to rain down judgment I think it would have been here in the states. Speaking of which. Has it occured to anyone else that we've been having an awful lot of earth quakes lately? -
Photoshop Tutorial: Create Text Like Ice!

I think this is a great tutorial. I tried it and it was pretty simple to do. The effect is impressive! Give it a shot! -
I think that the theory of evolutionism supports the idea of creationism. God is able to do all things imaginable and other wise. Evolutionism is just the physical evidence of what God created. I think it is simply beyond our understanding and that we should just accept that we will become enlightened by God when we reach his holy kingdom. We can't deny that all living things evolve. There is too much physical evidence for that. But I also think that we can't deny that there is a higher consciousness that guides us which created all of the beauty on this planet for us. So God created us with a big bang! Get over it...

Is Astahost Hosting This Good ? :)
rachelwase replied to Cookiemonster1405241499's topic in Web Hosting Support
I read several reviews about free web hosting and Xisto had a lot of good things said about it. I haven't heard any negative feed back about it at all. The only slightly negative thing about it is that you have to stay active in posting. I guess it's all in the way you look at it because I know that I can only benefit from reading and replying to these discussions. -

Once again, thanks for taking the time to put this together. I really like that it's easy to understand and use. Before reading your tutorials I really didn't have a clue what HTML even was! -
I tried it. Thought it was pretty fun for a free game.

gotta love getting paid to do nothing! Enjoy it while it lasts! Wish that I could find something that great.

I like the google search engine but the home page doesn't offer enough options to personalize it.

I really like the idea of being able to shoot at targets but not at live game. I definately don't want to watch some poor animal die on my computer screen! Why can't people just be happy to shoot at a fake target & have it mail to them?!
