I have both and definitely go for a mac

with mac the ripper you can make anything region free.then shirnk it if it is over 4.4 Gigs with dvd2onex or something like it runs flawless

Yeaah, I;ve used this too and it's pretty good, does the job.

try getting quicktime and using their codecs or others available,I haven't had any probs
