  1. I call myself a catholic but only really because thats what my parents call themselves. I only believe about half of the things the church preach and I only go to church at Easter and Christmas.

    I always thought that it was classified as a religion not because you worship a god, but simply because you have a kind of a guiding figure who you pray to, along with all the other stuff like a book and a set of rules etc. (very sorry if you don't actually pray to him and I'm just making stuff up)

    A Creaster eh? Please realize everything that the Catholic Church teaches is based on Scripture, aka god's word. If there is a canon then there is scripture to back it up. go tlk to a preist man, they can be some cool and devout people.

    Catholic= Universal

    Apostolic=Teaching

  2. I wanted to pick up on point number two there.  You say Jesus knew he was going to be crucified and then be ressurected, however in Luke 23:34...

    Why would God need to forgive the Jews when they were following the plan that God and Jesus had?  If anything they should be thanking them because everything was going to plan.

    And then whilst on the cross, in both Matthew and Mark (Matt 27:46 and Mark 15:34)

      Forgive me if I'm wrong but this doesn't sound like someone who's mission on this earth is to die for the sins of human kind.  If I was in his shoes I would be overjoyed that I got the chance to wash away all the sins of every living being.

    Back to the subject of the Shroud, I agree with Majestic Tree Frog - if the Vatican want nothing to do with it, then it has to be a fake.

    the vatican is very involved with it.

  3. Carbon dating may show that it's not that old, but people, you've gotta remember that carbon dating isn't infallible. How old is the oldest  thing that we've carbon dated that we know for 100% sure when it was created? For all we know, it could only have a certain range of acceptable accuracy. And, it could be possible that a fire screwed up it's carbon or soemthing like that...

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    They did indeed screw up the dating. They took samples from a heavily contaminated area where people have touched repeatedly. And the labs that did the test broke most of the other rules that the Vatican put in place.

  4. Band is a frequency set. Each phone locks a different frequency after assignment from the tower. So limeited freq's limited options. Thank goodness digital phones are coming. They use the same tecnology as WLAN...And no thaey DO NOT use 2.4 GHz... with the power neede to reach towers we'd all be microwaving our brains. a triband uses 950, 1400, and 1800 MHz.

  5. I have water cooling kit and it is SILENT, unless the pump is crooked or something.

    I overclock my proc and it is chilled nicely still. My GPU is also hooked up to a block and performs nicely when understrain. One thing with Water cooling is that warenties go out the door unless you have it pro installed and there is an intact seal in the case by the installer. I trust mysel not to kink the hoses.

    Another reason i got it is the same reason my neighbor has a H2, because he can.I'm a LAN party freak and my comp is more important than my car.

  6. You stupid fricker....that is hilareous though. I'd probably do the same. Actually, i have a cable that has been buried and goes under a certain road through a storm sewer. I don know how my parents and neighbors live with the two of us, especially after we fried our local phone system, long story...anyway yea scan google for "pringles" and "wireless lan" i've picked up signals from 5 miles away when it is tuned. you can pick up connectors at radioshack

  7. LOL, unless you have a very very very very know how technet at your school, they have not set your bordermanager to transparent. the reason you can get in through the secure is because they have not blocked HTTPS, only HTTP. if you use IE then go to C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Connection Wizard and open inetwiz and set up to go through a LAN and check maual proxy and DELETE THE IP ADDRESSES AND PORTS. save and check it out. Learned this through a war with the techs at my school, Cheers!

  8. When i try to start the software that came with the pc-card it doesn't start. Nothing happens. The router and pc-card is by D-link.  The only wireless thing I can think of is our phones. The base stands less that 1 meter from the router. Can that be it?

    I'm using encryption on the network.

    Umm if the phone is in the 2.4 GHz range it can interfere. Windows should fall back though. So unless you have the drivers your computer can'r communicate well with the card. Either that or the card needs RMA.

  9. i find sound card a waste of money... unless u have really sensative ears or are a electronic musician... u can't really hear the different... i remember when i was abt 7+ years back when i got crazy over sound card... i bought one soundblaster something (forgot the model) and was pretty proud of it... i compare my friends' sound with mine... though its never sound any different to me... i always say mine sounds better... but its till the later stage that i notice what type of sound card really doesn't matter... so i stop all the sound card craze... but anyway... having a great sound card is better den a lousier one...

    u are tone deaf and stupid. it makes all the difference and my surround lets me hear when things are behind me. you will unconciously tilt you head to hear where it id coming from!

  10. Dual monitors can be good for gameplay as you have a truly panoramic experience. I dont know about the lagging to which you referred. When using an editing program like Adobe Premiere, dual monitors becomes extremely advantageous because you can spread all the palletes and windows out. The X700 pro supports overlay so video editing on dual monitors should be fine. Also, since the computer only sees one "widescreen" video card most the dialog boxes will pop up right in the middle with half being on each monitor.

    nVidia has a feature to prevent that from happening.
