flash sites that load forever are not good even though they can be good, dynamic sites. Splicing the site would cut down on some loading time.

I like the Dreamweaver FTP. It's easy and convenient because you have a Site Map and you can synchornize everything in one click.

I need some help here. I'm currently working on a Macromedia Flash project and am having difficulty preserving the image quality when importing pictures from Macromedia Fireworks into Flash. The images have a TRANSPARENT background and every time I load them into Flash, the colors have a lighter shade around the images. I don't want to:* make the transparent background into a specific (matching) solid color because 'cropping' the image out with a drop-down shadow is a painIs there some kind of feature that I have to configure so that the colors don't turn up all messed up when i'm going back and forth between these two programs?

I use 250free.com. It's a very good photo-hosting site and you can upload as many photos as you like, as long as you don't exceed the 250 MB they offer. The one drawback is that you can't hot-link images larger than 100 K

Fireworks is more versatile than Photoshop in terms of web design. It offers more features such as layout and how your graphics are in place. I use Photoshop to enhance graphics and pictures. However, it's sometimes difficult to upload the graphics from Photoshop (picture quality distortion) into Fireworks because Macromedia prefers you to use its line of products.

I personally like Macromedia Fireworks and FreeHand. They are both very good programs specializing in vector draw. I suggest you download a free trial to check it out!
