Personally, I like the colors and general feel of the new red site better, but I like the easier nav of the old blue one. Perhaps you could try and find a happy medium? Maybe use a rollout or rollover effect from the top? Just a suggestion. Also, why not try giving the visitor their own preference? A little bit of PHP or JS for cookies, and CSS would work wonders. Allowing the user to pick their theme would keep everyone happy.
Kick-butt site! Love the whole theme/feel of it. I have to agree with the other, however, about the navigation. I would suggest not having all the menu options locked, in case ppl needed to get in to do something quick. The load time didn't seem too horrible, but then again, I'm on cable. Also, absolutely love the cursor effects. Keep up the great work, and keep us posted on the site!
I was just curious is anyone here still played the original Unreal Tournament? My friends and I play it constantly around here, with a little Serious Sam thrown in for a change. I know it's an older game, but you just can't beat the gameplay. ^_^Also, does anyone here do any sort of mapping for the UT series? I've been trying my hand at a little level design, but finding it slightly harder than expected. But then again, my last maps were made for Doom/Doom2
Just me personally, I prefer VB. I don't want to start yet another C++ vs VB battle here, but I find it more than enough for my needs. However, I'm not creating any MMORPG, either. Currently, I'm doing Textures/Skinning for a game called Midnight Manhatten by Blueprint Games. Check it out sometime! Imagine a FPS mixed with GTA.
