Half-Life 2 all the way... don't get me wrong I love halo and its a great game, but half-lifes been around before anyone even thought of the X-box. Half-lifes got experience years of it and in Halo its like around 100years from now, but Half-life is just 10 or so... Its kick *bottom* to be a marine in halo and to blow way alien *bottom*, but in Half-life (1 and 2) your a smart MIT alien *bottom* kicker its win freaking WIN!. Halo does have the better weapons and vehicles, but who needs that stuff when you have the gravity gun and can contral little bug things to do your bidding

lol yea I've heard all the rumors also and I have played and beating Hl2... the end is kinda weird and did hint of a trilogy, but doesn't mean there will be a Hl3 on every computer in 2007. But if they do make a third like rb_kaustuv was saying "it's going to rule the world.. mark it!!!" Just think about it every time valve makes Counter-Strike or The second Half-life its just keeps getting better and better...... just sux it took valve this long to make a second ..... so you know what I'm saying then? Anyway yeah like you were saying no one knows what will happen tomorrow, 2 days after, 3 days or anytime. I mean its not to much sci-fi anymore what has been happening in the last past year or so.. hell I was just watching something on TV about a planned mission to mars in 2006. Then you have computers I was told that the compact discs (CD) were about to go out because computers and cd-roms are becoming to fast for the discs what they will be using is beyond me, but makes you think. Plus like you were also saying about AI's its more than possible that some day they will see humans as a threat to its life and rise against us.... but who knows. You know science doesn't seem to be helping anyone nowadays... I'm not saying that it hasn't helped, but it just seems more and more that scientists are holding their hands on their faces and saying what have I done.....

Depends on what you think is safe.. firefox was made to be modded in a way. As for it screwing up firefox my friends and I have all done it and haven't seen anything wrong from it, but that doesn't mean that something can't go wrong. Just means it shouldn't. For what I have experienced after doing this... the d/ling speed of a site seems to be faster, but not that much.

This is just a rant kindaI was thinking a lot about this... time I mean. See I was walking home and saw out of the corner of my eye a small computer store and then I just stopped to take it all in... no not the prices, but what has happened over time. I was just talking to my dad a few days before about how when he was my age (15) he was told and had read about how when the year 2000 came around the world would be very different from what he grow up in. How robots would do everything humans wouldn't and how you would have to work only 3 days a week. I just had to start laughing just thinking about it, saying to myself you would have to be nuts to believe that BS, but when I saw the store I just started thinking about what has happened. Maybe they weren't wrong......I mean we have robots that do, do some things that humans can't and/or will not. even though everyone still has to work 5 to 6 days a week, but not everything was wrong I mean say the computer when he was a kid no one had a home computer hell the idea of it was nuts its self ( back then anyway ), but now just about everyone has or uses a computeronce a week. Hell kids in my school are better at using a computer than a pencil. Then take games back then the best you could get was 2D games like pong, pacman and some others (not bad games though), but when you see the games now days that are more real than reality its selfyou just got to stop and think.wonder what 2020 will be like........

Got another one for all of you tweaking firefox out: 1) Ok fire up the fox Just a heads up these settings make you download sites considerably faster, BUT they put a great deal of overload on the sites you visit 2) type in "about:config" the address bar and then hit enter You'll see a whole load of options here you will need to change some of the values. These ones: network.http.max-connections = 64 network.http.max-connections-per-server= 20 network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server= 10 network.http.pipelining = true network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 100 or 200 (choose one) nglayout.initialpaint.delay = 0 network.http.request.max-start-delay = 0 if you can't find "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" your going have to make it. Just right click and hit new integer. network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy = 10 network.http.proxy.pipelining = true network.http.proxy.version = 1.0 now close down firefox and start it up again. Now Firefox will burn up the web

ya like wanhafizi was saying if you want to turn your batch files into .exe (programs) there is a good Tool to help you with that.... thnx for the heads up man forgot about that part

I'm writing this tutorial for all that don't know what batch files are or how to make them. So lets start at the beginning What is a batch file? A batch is a list command line instructions that have been batched together ( Kinda like the name says ) into one file. They're not really programs, but they are the backbone of windows... don't believe me see for yourself go into your C:\windows folder there are a lot of .bat \ .sys \ .cfg \ .INF and other types of files. But I wouldn't delete any of them because if you do you may disable your OS So now lets get to some of the commands used in making a batch file: echo - displays a text message in the DOS window like " HI ALL" if you put @ before it means not to echo that line cls - clears the screen ( DOS window not the monitor) del - deletes a file deltree - its kinda like del but deletes all of the files in a folder copy - this copies the batch file to a directory ( folder ) end - ends the script start - starts a program.exe [ example ] say I wanted to start notepad it would look something like this Start C:\windows\system32\notepad.exe or just start notepad.exe ( cool eh? ) pause - it pauses the commands until you hit a button call - calls up another batch file from in a folder or somewhere else on the computer color - changes the color of the font and/or the background [ example ] 0 = Black 8 = Gray 1 = Blue 9 = Light Blue 2 = Green A = Light Green 3 = Aqua B = Light Aqua 4 = Red C = Light Red 5 = Purple D = Light Purple 6 = Yellow E = Light Yellow 7 = White F = Bright White so something like this [ color 0C ] ren - renames a file or folder there are more commands, but I'm still learning them all myself.
