  1. i'm making a website, and i have a set of forums that are seperate from it. i want to have a custom login page, and i need a script that will do it from my website to my forums.

    i found this code at an invisionfree site, but its not exactly what i need.

    <form style='display:inline' action="http://z1.invisionfree.com/boardname/index.php?act=Login&CODE=01&CookieDate=1; method="post"><div align='right'><strong>Quick Log In</strong>
    <input type="text" class="forminput" size="10" name="UserName" onfocus="this.value=''" value="User Name" />
    <input type='password' class='forminput' size='10' name='PassWord' onfocus="this.value=''" value='ibfrules' />
    <input type='submit' class='forminput' value='Go' />
    </div>
    </form><br />

    i want a form that has imgs for buttons, specifically a rollover img, that when you click on it, it changes to another img, then you can type text over that img. as an example, for alot of online java rpgs, when you click login, it asks for username and pass. i want something sort of like that (since my site is rpg themed). any help?

  2. i have an invisionfree forum, and i'm curious if there's a way to create a custom login page, with like custom buttons, texts, and the arrangement of it. i dont just want to use what invisionfree has, i want a better login page, any ideas?

  3. I looked but couldn't find a sub-forum for topics relating to cgi-bins, so I figured I'd put this here.Lets say I create a form for people to fill out, and I tell it to submit it to the cgi-bin that is a part of my free hosting package. When I receive the information, is there some way that I could have it put into a spreadsheet, say Excel, so that I could view it easily? I'm designing a website for my youth pastor, and it would make things much more simple if he could receive info (such as registration for conferences and retreats) in a spreadsheet format. I'm curious if there is a way to do this (outside of editing the cgi-bin itself).This relates to the hosting somewhat, because I want to know not only if it can be done, but if the cgi-bin that I have access to as a part of my free hosting is capable of somehow handling this... Thanks.

  4. Ok, first off you should know that I only started learning how to do HTML, even though I'm progressing very quickly. One problem I've run into, is that I don't know how to access my site. I can login to it, and I can upload my files via Dreamweaver's FPT, but then I run into a problem. Say my site is sdesert.astahost.com and i upload the files from my computer RuneDesert/index.htm. What is the address of my index? I'm really confused about this... and I feel really stupid that I can't figure out something that is so simple.

  5. Since we're on the subject of menus, I have a question of my own. Is there some way I create a menu that could be saved as some type of file, so all I have to do is link my sites to my menu? One of the problems I constantly run into, is that I'm adding or taking away from my site, and its a pain to go back through all my pages and change the menus. If there was some way I could just link to a premade menu, and edit that, it would save me quite a bit of time...
