Heres a future advice:Never keep copies or backups of data stuff on harddrives!!!I have had a few harddrive problems myself, and when I finally got a cd burner, I was really happy. Now I burn all my important data stuff to cd, and sometimes I make more than 1 copy of the cds.. Safety caution you know

Browser War! Ideal Browser for Web Designing
zandramas replied to arunkumarhg's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Im afraid I cannot vote any of those browsers because I use Netcaptor. It is a widely used browser. I have used firefox, but you cannot seem to get plugins for the websites as they dont have a site with plugins set up yet. Netcaptor has almost all of the things you have used, so far I have not seen transparency. The thing I truely like about netcaptor, is that the tabs are on the bottom of the browser, wheras all the others have it on the top. I think you can move your tabs to the top altho I prefer it at the bottom. They have both free, and paid versions of netcaptor.. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ if you wish for more information -
The Best Graphic Sofware
zandramas replied to remonit1405241472's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
It also depends on how much money you wish to spend on a software. There are many great programs out there for graphics that are costly, or reasonably priced. As well as there are several good graphic programs that are free out there. As the guy above me said, it depends on the quality of graphic artwork you wish to do. I have found jasc paint shop pro number one on the reasonably priced range, and Pixia as the number one free graphic program. It all depends what you wish to do with your picture -
Graphic Designing or Programming
zandramas replied to spyshow's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Programming requires alot of patience, and knowledge in C, C+, C++. Java, etc. I have tried a little programming, and to me, it is hard. I found the graphic designing is far easier, if you know what artwork you wish to create. All you need is a paint program to create such graphics and alot of your imagination creativity. So I must conclude I find that I can do alot better with graphic designing, then I would in trying to create programs or softwares, or any text style work on webpages. I have found that if someone wants to learn to do programming, the best start would be either to go back to school, or a text based mud game source code. -
I bought the Cool I-pad graphic tablet. It comes with wireless pen and wireless optical mouse.. I paid in canadian $75 dollars. I have enjoyed it very much and it works great. It has a USB plug to the tablet itself. Pen and mouse requires 1 triple "a" battery each

Actually, Netcaptor started out with tabbed browsing for many years, even before mozilla and opera added it to their programs... That being said, Firefox is not exactly designed for the people who have just started getting onto the internet for the first time. Remember, the site did say it has continuous updates of fixing bugs, and finding new bugs. Firefox is a more reliable browser then netscape or IE that I found so far, however since I paid for my netcaptor program, I do not need to have another browser. For the truly new users, I would recommend Netcaptor or Mozilla.. I have no clue how Opera has changed since I last used it 7 years ago (very slow, and very sloppy then), unfortunately I know Opera is not free or cheap. Netcaptor has a free version, and it does not interfere with your ability to browse in any case. If you pay for it, you get free upgrades all the time.. thus you only pay a 1 time fee for it. Mozilla is free, but it does have its drawback - a.k.a not fully bug-free.

Is there a site that can show you how to manually create a shoutbox or guestbook without having to use other companies or other services??? This guestbook would be kept onto the same site as the rest of the webpage, and then when it reaches a certain number of entries, only the oldest half of entries gets copied onto the text file for the owner to download, then removed off of the guestbook to preserve space? I am really interested in getting information as to doing that so that people will not get saddled with guestbook servers that could be down too often. Thanks

The games that I have found, which is very few, are quite enjoyable, especially for the imaginative mind. Personally I think that each person has a different type of what sort of mud games they wish to play if they want to get involved. If you like to have pk (aka player killing, where you can kill other players), questing and other things, you can try Aardwolf there at http://www.aardwolf.com/ .. I have not played alot of muds so I can only give some information about a few... Text based mud games, is almost like reading a book, except you get to participate in it, and you can create your own vision of how to interpret the game.http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ three I listed above are the ones I have played so far.. I have not yet found many others that I enjoyed.

Web Browsers Which Browser type do u prefer?
zandramas replied to hast-webben's topic in Websites and Web Designing
All programs will close if there was a crash.. No matter how manyof them you have open will close.. IE is ok however I would recommend using other browsers that are available that is much better then IE or better then Netscape. Talk about slow browser there. hehe -
Wow, Those pictures look great. Did you use the tablet or just the mouse to do your artwork in? :PI have used adobe photoshop, but only a trial copy since I know I can never afford the full copy. So instead I use Jasc programs for my graphic art. How do you mean by "am open to fufill someone's desire to have one"

Ideas => Website i need some ideas for a website
zandramas replied to palestranger's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Frontpage is good to use if you are a beginner. Once you have mastered in creating good webpages, you can then turn to other webpage designing programs that are more complex and challenging. Many people prefer Dreamweaver, and some prefer other softwares that can do as much or less or more then dreamweaver. It is all based on a person's preference. -
Thank you for the information. I am currently trying to get my webpage worked on so that I can post it on the internet Since I am posting now and not having a webpage available, that is fine as it gives me time to prepare for all that I need :PThank you again for the information

Hi, I have a question I would like to ask before I make any serious commitment.. Many website hostings that I have looked at, does not allow that you can have some zip files for others to download if they so wish to use the files.. The zip files I am referring to is that I wish to make more personal websets or even graphics onto the site, and if someone likes it, they could download it for free. Is this allowed on this hosting? I would only do a small portion of it, I take pictures with my digital camera and make websets from the pictures I have taken from around my home and whatnot. I hope this would be allowed as I really do enjoy making simple websets :POtherwise I will be devoting my personal pages to help others with the game I play :PThank you for your time to answer :oZandramas(Sorry I posted this on the wrong forum. I saw that I posted it too late before I realized my error)

Does anyone know if there are freeware web page tools out there that are simple to use?? The newest dreamweaver that I checked out is just a bit too challenging for someone who does simple webpages for personal use. Raw html just does not turn me on. So if anyone can lead me to a simple frontpage-like webpage tool for creating simple webpages, I would really appreciate it. I have used netscape communicator years ago (before they got too big of a file), Frontpage, and Dreamweaver of the older version.
