  1. Does somebody know the system requirements of vista?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Here are the estimated minimum system requirements for Windows Vista (previously codenamed Longhorn):

    512MB memory or more

A dedicated graphics card with DirectX 9.0 support

A modern, Intel Pentium- or AMD Athlon-based PC.

However, the final system requirements will not be known until summer 2006 at earliest. Don't worry if your system doesn't meet the minimum system requirements, there's still plenty of time to update your system as Vista is only expected to arrive by late 2006.

  2. Gmail is the best free email service up to today. It's no comparison with hotmail and yahoo. it has pop3, no graphic ads, basically unlimited space, since it's increasing day by day, and I had it for more than a year now :D. I can also forward my emails to somewhere else and still keep the forwarded emails in the archive just in case. i already have more than 3,000 emails and all are easily searchable and archived. it's great, hotmail/yahoo don't have pop3, don't have more than 1gb of space, have graphic ads, are slower, are more spammed since theya re more know, and all the good usernames are already taken. Gmail is GREAT!

  3. hey cyborg, good to see you around here :D.anyways, about learning programing languages, it doesn't really matter which one you start learn first or second, since eventually as you learn more of them, you will begin to realize that they are very similar and most of the time just the syntax changes and in some cases there are exceptions, but otherwise there are pretty similar. for example, C language is almost the same thing as C++ but C++ has incrementation and other things that makes programming easier and efficient. but it doesn't mean you can't program some things in C while you could in C++, it's just it might take longer. let's start with html, it is a language that is really not necessary for beginners to be learned, since there are editors, such as dreamweaver that let you customize html pages very easily without coding. However, php is not editor friendly, thus, if you want to use some advanced or useful php codes, you'll have to know how to program in php. if you don't know which one to start with, try going to your local library and see what they offer to borrow. read the books, practice, and ask for help if you get confused or not sure what to do while learning the programming languages.

  4. I have a freeware that is as good as shareware...it is

The Free, Cross-Platform Sound Editor. Audacity 1.2.3 is a new stable version of Audacity. This version fixes a bug that interfered with long recordings on some Windows systems, and another bug that causes random crashes on Mac OS X. It also includes several updated translations, and other bug fixes and minor improvements.

site to download it and read more about it: https://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/

  5. You get 100Mb webspace and 3Gb bandwith, 5 subdomains, 5Mb MySQL.

It's a good host, speed is good, upload and download. The response time is bit low (but higher then Xisto :D ) because of the google ads.

It started good, there was only a small banner on top, very small, but after a while they suddenly added the google ads. The server is also limited. I couldn't get the mail function working (nor php, nor sendmail). You can't use .httaccess files (gives a 500 error). It's a good host, you get less freedom than Xisto tough (and they don't have cpanel, wich rocks)

You can take a look at my old (still hosted site) to test speed etc...

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

you are right, speed is slower than I would assume it to be. Also, I hate having ads enforced on my websites, since they take a lot of space and sometimes causes you to lose visitors. that's why i only use ad free hosts, such as Xisto :P.
