  1. Overall, I'm satisfied with my 2 months playing Guild Wars so far. I play it in my spare time, which with school isn't so much :) I like the amount of interaction that there is, and how multi-player oriented it is, as it's much more fun to go on a mission with other people instead of all alonesome. If they really are going to increase the level cap in expansions, that will be awesome, I dislike the lvl 20 cap right now. I only have 1 character, as I only have time for 1, a lvl 20 Necromancer/Mesmer, which I like a lot, because she has a lot of tricks that work well together, especially in PvP. Overall, i would recommend buying it if you want to play a game online without a monthly fee, as it makes life a lot easier, especially for people without jobs like me.....

  2. First off, has anyone even heard os Shadowrun before? It's a pen and paper game similar to Dungeons and Dragons, but geared towards a more mature audience. There are several different races, including human, elf, dwarf, and troll to pick from. There are also several different paths that you can talk, either through magic, training, or bodily implants/replacements. This is set in the future, so the possibilities are quite amazing! My current character, Decessus, is a simple troll, 8 ft tall, 185Kg, guy. He loves to do jobs, and is very hard to kill, especially when I have him armed with his all time favorite gun, and assault cannon, which does 17d6 damage on a direct hit(fyi, the average character has 6-7 health, and maybe 10 armor, so 17d6 can be anywhere from 17 to 102 damage there). It's a great way for your friends to waste an afternoon/overnighter, post or PM me if you have any questions.

  3. I use Bitlord. no special reason why i chose it. it just happened to be the first one i saw when looking for a torrent program. i have to say i'm pretty happy with it. never had any problems with it using up cpu, or freezing. fast downloads if u have a good line, and of course, that there are enough seeders available. it's a bandwidth hog though, so i either have to run it at night or either when no one else is using the computers, as we have a shared connection and like 6 computers all hooked up to a 256k DSL.

I know the feeling, I'm using Bitlord as well, as my friend recommended it to me. I'm also on a 256k DSL line, shared with 2 dektops, and 2 laptops. so bandwidth is an annoying problem sometimes. Overall, I like the performance in it, but i really dislike the inability to change the default search page ;) I would have to give it a 7/10

  4. Just wondering, but since we already have an Internet forum, what about a webcomic forum? I know that there are hundreds of webcomics out there, and there are people who read them religiously(I admit, I fit in that category), so what about creating a webcomics forum, so users can discuss what their views are on different webcomics?

  5. Recently (2 days ago) Google released their own Instant Messanger program, in a beta release. If you would like to try it out, go to this link https://www.google.com/hangouts/ to download the free app. It's a 900KB download, so even those on 56k modems can get it in minutes.

What I've seen so far in GIM:

Automatic addition of all your Gmail contacts to your friends list

Check your Gmail from the app.

Custom away messages, as of now, do not save when you sign out

There is not a way to change fonts or and other richtext options yet, will be in a later release

The only text formatting I know of is when you type with an asterisk on each side of your text, it shows up in bold. I.E *hello* will display as hello

You can invite anyone from outside of Gmail to a gmail account, and GoogleTalk at teh same time, with 3 easy steps.

Unfortunately, GoogleTalk is in beta stages, and is only open to users who have a Gmail account.

  6. It's really amazing how much Disney pours into R&D for their parks. All of the rides are designed so that they will remain popular for years, in order to make the most profit. A neat thing, if you have a friend who is an albino(I know, there aren't many), you get to use the employee tunnels in the park, because an albino burns so easily, and has to stay out of the sun from 12-3, you also get back-passses for all the rides! Awesome little trick, but hard to pull off(you have to have a friend who is an albino!)

  7. Building your own computer is of course the best way to go. I recently finished building mine 2 months ago, and can't complain at all. course, I got most of it as a gift, and only paid about $100 for it. 8. For your second question, the value from the selectresult will be stored in $_POST["AAAA"], and it will contain "life" or "death".

Another thing. To use php you need a server running so I expect you have. But for which reason are you using the absolute path of your script as action? Place everything in your server folder and just begin from the path where this form is located. That will be enough :D

Anyway you people might think different :)

yeah, the reason for the absolute path is using dreamweaver and drag and drop. thanks for pointing that out gotta fix it, and thanks for all of your help, Gotta go do some coding now

  9. Whenever i try to access my cpanel through the URL, i get an operation timed out when contacting error. I can access the default index page HERE but whenever i try accessing the cpanel from the same place by adding/cpanel to the end, I get the operation timed out error as in when you click HERE

I accessed it just fine yesterday, it all started today when I tried to access it to change/update my settings with Dreamweaver.

Problem solved, I was right, it's my school's network blocking ports. *note to Mods*This post is no longer necessary, the problem is gone.*end note*

  10. Overall, if you are networking wirelessly, it depends on what you are getting. I am using a D-Link router at home, with my dad's comp hardlined into it, and my sister's laptop and my desktop on wireless. My sister's laptop has a D-Link airplus wirless G Cardbus card, and I can get a signal with it anywhere in the house, and it doesn't drop anything, or lose the connection. My desktop on the other hand is running on an airplus as well, but I got a cheap $10 one. It doesn't lose any packets or corrupt/change packets, but occaisonally it will simply drop the connection, annoying when I'm playing guild wars -_- Overall, if your router and wirless PCI/Cardbus cards are from the same company, you are going to get a better service than if you mix and match. If you are atually on a satelite connection, you will get extremely fast connection/transfer speeds, but there is a major catch in the contract. If you download more than 100MB in a month, your connection speed will drop to less than a 56k modem, because you will get that 100 MB file in less than a minute, and the satelite companies don't want all of their bandwidth eaten up by massive downloaders. DSL on the other hand, can be fast, but it depends on who you are getting it from, and how close you are to the nearest repeater. I am on a DSL connection through SBC, but we are a ways from the repeater, and only paying $30 a month, so we get about a 266k connection, I max out at about 60kb/s download, but the upside of DSL, is I can get about a 500kb/s upload time. Cable, overall is your best choice if you want to download files, but it is also the most expensive besides satelite. If you get cable through Comcast, and you have Comcast cable, it will cost you $40 a month, but you also pay $8 month for modem rental fees, and a little more for slightly hidden fees. Cable is faster than DSL for downloads, but you will not get very great upload speeds. You have to be very careful with cable, and watch your bills, to see exactly how much you will pay a month. That's about it for now. PM me if you have any questions about what I've posted, or just ask it here.

  12. I dunno what it is about the bible i get bored to to easy.

I just dunno, i cant find that connectio which aggrivates me cause i need to read the bible ya know if you have any tis and or pointers please share them with me i would really like to find that path and also need 2 start church back up 4 sure ya know what i mean man???? -_-  :P

A trick I use when I'm struggling with reading the bible is to simply open to a random page, pick a spot, and read. It's always interesting to see where you end up, and it will really surprise you sometimes. Another really cool thing, is my ex-girlfriend gave me for a birthday present a little tin, and inside it are about 200+ folded slips of paper, and on each one is a verse, and it's a realy great encouragement to see the work that went into it.
