What Is A Mimo Technology?

Recommended Posts

Multiple Input and Multiple Output -For any wireless communication to materialise there need to have 2 antennas one at source and one at destination. But when an electromagnetic field suffers obstruction in its path to propagate like hills, buildings e.t.c the wavefronts tend to get scattered and try to find multiple paths to get through. This is called multipath fading as the signal gets scattered and a measurable portion of the signal gets faded causing reduction in data speed and multiple errors to come along with actual data.MIMO technology introduces 2 or more antennas both at source and destination and multiple transmissions one for each antenna eliminating the effect of multipath fading.Because of this MIMO is finding its need for many devices to work like Digital televisions, wireless local LANS, MANS and mobile communication.
