New Name For Trap17 Changing the domain name Trap17.com

We are planning to change name of Xisto to newSutra. Please tell me, what do you think of this new name - newSutra.com knowledgeSutra.com

Sūtra (Sanskrit: सूत्र sūtra, Devanagari: सूत्र, Pāli: sutta), literally means a thread or line that holds things together, and more metaphorically refers to an aphorism (or line, rule, formula), or a collection of such aphorisms in the form of a manual. It is derived from the verbal root siv-, meaning to sew (these words, including Latin suere and English to sew, all ultimately deriving from PIE *siH-/syuH- 'to sew').

This new site will be completely geared for forum discussion.

Personally I think it sounds a bit weird. Xisto sounds more appealing when you're advertising it, it sparks curiosity so people might click on a link or something, but Xisto also sounds amusing, as there may be usefulness in the site.Anyways, I like Xisto, but maybe that's just me.

I don't like it... it reminds me on kama sutra.

It's looking really good, it took five minutes for the site to load though since I've got very limited bandwidth but i'm on a 20kbs connection at the minute. Maybe create a basic html version for lower bandwidth users? Aside from that the new Xisto looks great!

Well, I wouldn't have chosen Xisto, but it's much better than Xisto (which was a meaningless name imho).The new site is too large ! It took a minute to load and I have a 5Mbps connection at home. I'd also drop the background music, it's annoying (as is every background song on a website). And, I'd shrink the banner, it's just too big on 1280x800 (it requires constant scrolling as a part of the content is always offscreen).Other than those comments, it's a very good looking website ! Kudos to the designer

I don´t like the new name I think that Xisto is better than Xisto but what can I do? I am not an admin and my only purpose is to make Mycents to get back my hosting plan that is under a great debt with xisto and I have to pay it writing here and talking trougth the forums with all the members of these greats forums. So I have problems to pay because I can´t use Xisto, sorry Xisto because in all the forum is the new that the mycent system is not working. So I need a little or maybe a lot of mycents to get back my hosting plan and I need it quickly. So I have to post in Xisto that is not my favorite because here the people talk more about technical things that maybe I know very good but I really don´t care to explain to another people what is facebook, or what is twitter or how you can get a pdf file in a doc file, so maybe these days will be a nigthmare for me because for first time in a year I have the obligation to post in this forum and talk about technical things and try to explain in a simple good quality post how to do something to all the visitors and members but I can´t do anything to fix this problem, everything is admin thing and I will not cry for this, for good sake.So hello again to all the Xisto members and welcome to the new non-working site Xisto.com

Lol, to put it in the best way. Don't copy from other site in between your post. Other people are aware of your grammar and way of thinking so they can catch you easily. For comment on topic, i didn't like this change. Besides broken mycents and post limit of 25 is really horrible. I just want to post as much as i can but that new flood control feature in Xisto is restricting me to do just that.

lol starscream i pretty much agree with you. but you have got some wrong info first the flood control is 51 posts a member a day and the site is now not Xisto its Xisto.com :Dnow back to the topic..i dont know why they had got their name changed to KS, Xisto is good its unique and its easy to remember where as KS is somewhat a big name in my case i probably would forget the spelling of ks so i usually type Xisto and then i am redirected to KS. No matter they have a very cool gfx done for the home page but still i liked the previous Xisto much. If they are undergoing modernization i think its ok but they should preserve their old identity. The boards is great now really its awesome now a new skin for ipb that grool Last KS is not bad but Xisto is better.
