In response to Buffalo's post about catering readers, there should be a way to cater the staff as well. For starters, the background color of invisible threads should be easily distinguised. For example, right now, there are 7 invisible threads in The Vent, and I wanna know what they are, but it's hard to tell which are invisible if all threads (regardless of status) look similar.

 When I said, "...cater to readers" that included us too--we all are readers.

And I totally concur with you that the invisible or queued topic should be better visible than what it is now. Hence, I chanted to bring back the light pink color. Currently, you have to take a good look at the "reply" column and you'll noticed that the color isn't white/lighter but it's the same gray color as the majority of the forum's background. Those are queued topics.

EDIT: spelling errors

Becca

can some one change the INVINSIBLE topics or whatever it's called to INVInSIBLE. It's getting on my nerves now. I've told someone to change it like when it was first created.. it's a stupid thing to request but well you know... (I know no one will see it besides the moderators but well I see it! @!!!)

BuffaloHelp

HA HA HAYou're talking about the THE STAFF > Invinsible (moderated) Topic's ? I didn't even notice that. How funny.

Becca

You didn't notice it!!!How could you not!!?? I've been raving about it for some time but everyone ignores me. I know why thought...its because it's not important lol :D oh well. :DI think it would be good if everyone could have their OWN shoutbox as the one UP THERE is kind of hectic at times and everyoen chats to their own person and you get confused... even though some people do this e.g. "@POOFACE -- OMG dude you smell"Plus it would kind of be a little more private. :D

snlildude87

Haha, wow. Never noticed that, but that seems to be fixed now. Also, whenever you see a spam topic, move it to the SPAM forum (right under the Alerts forum), and an admin should take care of that. Emphasis on should. Some of those threads have been sitting there for quite some time now.

BuffaloHelp

snlildude87, Becca was talking about the spelling error :DBut when I use that forum is when a post is NOT spam but it shouldn't be visible to general members is when I move posts to that section. I suppose it's my way of respecting every post instead of deleting it.

Then what was I talking about? I think it was about the typo, too. :-/

I have no clue what the difference between the forum inside the staff is (the moderated forum) and the SPAM forum. The description should be better though. I just know that the admins don't look in either forums anymore. *cough*

Becca

DOesn't anyone else thinkg we should have our own personal shoutboxes?:D no one listens to me.

BuffaloHelp

Would you elaborate further? When you say our own private shoutbox, shoutbox to be seen by just moderators and administrators or to all but we'll have another box that other members cannot type in?

Becca

nope. Anyoone can type in it.. It's in your profile. I've seen it on some KAWAII message boards and it's really cool. you can like go to other people's user profiles and write in their shoutbox instead of writing in the main one and getting confused on who's talking to who ?

Hm...sounds very interesting, and I don't think it'd be too hard to implement...but I'm not sure if it would work out...

snlildude87

Could we bring back the ol' "If you're going to copy, make sure you use quotes" thing on the front of the forum? There seems to be a lot of plagiarizers ever since that was removed.

I've completely missed that it isn't there anymore, too. I liked that note and it was visible to everyone. I also would like if you can bring back the little one line note under the shoutbox. I think it went something like "NOTE: ...... DO NOT: .... " for simple rules of using shoutbox.

Refresh my memory. I usually don't travel by means of the front page.

The shoutbox says "Note: Do not post links, watch the language. Don't ask us to read your post!" :D

I don't remember either, but it had like "Don't copy from other sources. Use quote tags if you have to." There was also "Topic Title and Topic Description are very important." There was also a third one, but I cannot remember.

The shoutbox had that and "Do not ask for asl."

Don't need to. OpaQue reads this forum a lot.

How about allowing people to post in the Other forum of Xisto graphics. A few people (such as myself) find themselves not being able to post in any of the provided subforums. They then have to post in other subforums where the topic does not belong.

People not like that suggestion then? Okay new one! How about removing the (NEW) sign from the Tutorials forum because it has been around since September 2004.
