so what your saying is you have nothing to back up this claim, no link to let us research ourselves.

In short your spamming nonsense.

Actually, for those who haven't been keeping up to date, within the last two months they have both found and confirmed a new (10th) planet out beyond Pluto. I believe around 3 months ago they discovered a body orbiting the sun on a different orbital than the Kuiper Belt. The question was whether it was a comet or planet and they confirmed it to be a planet. It has not yet been named (to my knowledge). Although if you read the Hitchhiker's series you know it is named Persephone and is commonly called Rupert.~Viz

Pluto offical remained a planet. There was a lot of debate whether or not it was a planet or planetiod because Cheron is almost as big as Pluto and they kind of wobble around each other rather than Cheron orbit around Pluto. That 10th Planet has yet to be offically confirmed. It was still in the process of peer review when some clever googler came across the information online. The researcher published is findings with the note of "pending peer review". There were a couple articles about this on /. couple weeks ago.

The problem is how we define what is a planet. If we are going to say all what goes around the sun as planets we would get a really big list from stardust, comets to sattelite debris. :D There must be a limit to the amount of planets we can get around the sun, I mean it's good to mark a max distance to the solar system. The Kuiper Belt is a good limit. But we are used to have Pluto as a planet. Maybe in the future people will get used to have 10 or 11 maybe more planets.

Is it just me or do we see headlines that exclaim "Tenth Planet found!" like every two years? How many tenth planets have we actually found? To add to the confusion, some of them are given names like 2003 UB313. C'mon astronomers, how about another Roman god? I think we're due for a Bacchus.

Isn't there already a topic on this subject anyway? I think this should be closed and the original topic brought back up... Yes I distinctly remember posting links that had something to do with the planets, hold on lemmie look....

So somebody should probably close this topic for lack of a better solution :D

I don’t believe we’ll find anymore planets in our solar system. I mean, we have a very good image of our solar system so the tenth planet should be further away from the Sun than Pluto.Of course this depends on how you would define our solar system, but I think the common opinion is that Pluto is just on the edge of being an “outer solar system object”. So our solar system will not be much larger than Pluto’s orbit. We’ll need to look for the tenth planet farer out than Pluto and out there we’ll probably see nothing but asteroids and comets – which just aren’t big enough to be called a planet. :D So no, I don’t think we’ll see a tenth planet.

I believe there are only nine planets in our solar system. Even in school, that is what they teach you. The planet the scientists said they so called found, what was the name of it again, it started with a z right? Well nevermind, that planet is not close to any of the other ones. Sure it's closer than any other planet but I don't think it is in our solar system, in our Solar system, there are only nine plansts, all the otehr ones are in diiferent solar systems, correct? No?
