Is He Interested?

So I've been out of the dating game for a while with just getting out of a divorce. I met a guy at one of the bars I go to and we caught each others eye, bought each other drinks and switched numbers so all went fine, the usual. We hung out a few times and ended up messing around. We got to know a lot about each other and at first he would text me and call me here or there, but after we messed around it seems like he has been distant from me. I don't know what he's thinking if he lost interest, is to busy and he won't make any set plans with me but with his friends he has set plans all the time. He also asked me to hang out during the week he's off from work but made no contact. So my question is... Is he worth trying to contact? Or should I just say screw it and forget him. All of my friends are telling me to beware of him but I'm very interested in him. Help me out what should I do??
