Getting to the admin pageInstalling Joomla On Local Computer(localhost)

I've set up joomla on my local computer, every thing seems to work.  I can get to thehttp://localhost/mysite/Joomla_1.5.8-Stable-Full_Package/ site and it works, I can't figure out how to get to the admin page to start my own site.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by "admin page"? If you mean something for a database, you'd need PHPMyAdmin (https://www.phpmyadmin.net/).Otherwise, if you mean how to get your website started, find the root directory and put your website files there. Take note that a site called index.html will probably be automatically loaded.I don't know much about Joomla, since I use wampserver, but chances are that the root directory is in the same directory where you installed Joomla.

Your administrator page should be

LOCALHOST/mysite/Joomla_1.5.8-Stablrator/index.php

Remember that you won't be able to open it unless you have installed Joomla and deleted the 'installation' folder afterwards ;)
