Are Xisto - Web Hosting and Xisto the same company? Because I can log into both and check my earnings, services, orders, and all that. Thanks,Mike

Well the the way the websites show it they are under one big umbrella company, but each site does different things... eg. forums, hosting, support etc.\Hope this helps and correct me if i'm wrong.

Xisto is the company at top. They are running their other sites like Xisto - Web Hosting, qupis,Xisto and Xisto. So your question's answer is yes, Xisto - Web Hosting is part of xisto. Billing and domain services are made such that you can check it from either site. Hope this answers your question.

Ah, okay. I usually use Xisto - Web Hosting, because sometimes Xisto doesn't let me log in. I think this might be due to the HDD failure they keep splashing all over the forums. Thanks for your answer.

The issue has been resolved with a replacement Hard Drive. It likely was not the problem. The various sites are in a Server Cluster and only one group of sites were being affected. I don't think the xisto or Xisto - Web Hosting sites are on that Server, but I could be wrong.

@ haslip, nah, I doubt Qupis, Xisto and Xisto - Web Hosting are on the Trap server, ....are they? Not sure about that. :P The fact is, the Hard Drive Disks have been successfully replaced so we need not to worry. :P

Agree with sky, looks like all of them are on different server. Atleast imagefilez is on different server as it takes some resources (being ffmpeg app). Earlier there was server status page on Xisto - Web Hosting which used to show the xisto sites and server status. Maybe we have to ask opaque about this.

Yeah, however lets not big OpaQue, as he has enough on his back with managing the servers etc. let him do what he needs to do. He's busy as it is without needing to answer alot of questions about a minor server hard drive change.

It is only a small issue, and as it's been repaired already we should not keep discussing about it, since there is nothing else to carry on discussing. Yes, as Xisto - Web Hosting, Xisto and Qupis are all on different servers, I think this is because if they was on the same server;

1: If the server had a technical issue, ALL websites etc would be down.

2: Our websites etc, Qupis, Xisto and all others on the same server would suffer major technical faults.

So I think that's why Qupis, Xisto, Xisto - Web Hosting and Trap are on different servers, in my opinion anyway. :P Sounds logical to me. :P

Actually, I check on either Computinghosts or Xisto's website, not exactly sure, but it said the THETA hard drive failure occured last year! December 23 of 2008! Is this just some kind of typo, or have they not updated their site? I mean, when you go to the main page of Xisto, the HOT topic is that the hard drive failure is being repaired this afternoon.

Xisto is the main company, like mahes2k said, and they also run other branches, like the paid hosting company Xisto - Web Hosting (its way too expensive though, in my opinion), and they have the absolutely free account on qupis, then paid to host on Xisto (the best, I think. :P) and they all use the same system, which isn't surprising. :PBut it's really, good, I suppose. I mean, the absolutely free bit on paid to host. I have yet to see a hosting company that offers as much as Xisto does for free. :D I'm a loyal member for life!!! :D I hope... :D

Hmm, are you kidding me ? Can you find a host for me at 1.60$ per month for 12 months (with no overselling) ? I don't think so there is any reliable host at that cost. There are tons of host who oversell and have loads of spam sites on shared hosting which is ripped off.

CH is transparent and they have their server with psychz.net so it is easy for us to trace the server with psychz. PsYCHZ is also cheap hosting service like CH. So i think either of them is fine and for reliability, you take our words for it. My one site is on xisto(CH paid plan) for 3 years. Less downtime(close to null, only when harddrive change or server transfer time). I have good experience with xisto.

What? As far as I know... Xisto - Web Hosting asks for $11 dollars a month (USD) for unlimited hosting, and to me, that is very very expensive compared to the normal $2-3 dollars that you have to pay per month on other hosting sites like Fat Cow. Even the $5 costs per month is better than the $11 dollars per month for unlimited hosting.

I think you never checked logic plan table and instead you opted for those high bw/hd plan and comparing with this. You need to check the plans again for Xisto - Web Hosting. Basic Locgic plan is priced at 1.95$ per month. and when you select 12 month prepay option it goes to 1.60$. I just purchased one hosting package and i know these rates are 1 day old. Second plan is logic pro which is 6.66$ per month. Here is logic pro plan of Xisto - Web Hosting. And here is the logic regular plan table.

Now tell me which plans you seen from xisto costs at 11$ for shared hosting ? You think we are paying 11$ for hosting here at xisto ? i could have hosted my sites to softlayer.com if that amount was possible for me to pay monthly.

So comparing it with fatcow,CH is much cheaper. Besides fatcow is overselling with unlimited space & bw. Ask them if they offer FFMPEG hosting with performance. Let me know their reply for this.
