I noticed that the word ass censors itself to *bottom*, which looking from an Englishman's point of view is weird because all *bottom* is is the British way of writing ass. It makes no real difference if it's censored or not
So, why not just bleep out **bottom** altogether?
My apology in the lack of knowing words around the other side of the world :blink:The word in topic discussion will now show up as *bottom*. I made it cute to "punish" those who wish to use in vain. HA HA HA
*bottom* 's up*testing**bottom*'s up*testing*so should '*bottom*' be altered to '*bottom*' as well ?serverph and I were cross posting. The a s s word is now permanently modified in the post I made. Select 'edit' and a s s appears as * bottom * (no spaces).
american english vulgarities have filtered to the masses more readily and more widespread, compared to its british english counterparts. BUT british english is much more "cultured"-sounding than american english, so it seems more acceptable.
btw, BH, is censoring disabled for the staff forums? looks like *bottom* and *bottom* words are not substi-bleeped in here.
edit: a.s.s. censor seems to work, but is the censoring not forums-wide? looks like it filters on posts with that word AFTER censor was put in place. i can see those words in electriic ink's original post above.
Check the original post to see how that was done.
The word censor doesn't see the correct sequence because of the bbcodes for colour which are in there.
a[ color =black]ss[/ color ] (spaces added)
Aah the joys of censor-bypassing I avoided the censoring in the post by using the "color" tags and got passed it in the title by editing the expletives into it after I posted it via the mod options

Kiss my *bottom*...Kiss my a?ss...:blink:Too bad I'm too pro for you... lolFeel free to edit this post and try to figure out what I did...
You wanna fight dooga? Lol, just kidding.I don't think the word *bottom* should be censord period. I've heard teachers, respectful grownups, everyone, use that word. It's not too offence, no matter which way you use it."You're an *bottom*".I'd probably respond to that by saying"Ok, and?"It's not that offencive.
*bottom* is now added to the bad word filter. It was not added after fixing the *bottom* filter.Only admins can bypass word filter without any tricks
Kiss my *bottom*...Kiss my *bottom*Kiss my *bottom*...
I think this is the most fun we've ever had using the badword filter. sheesh.
haslip, you can kiss my ass.
And ofcourse I'm just kidding.
Ok, I think we should stop spamming now.
I personally think that admins shouldn't be able to bypass it, not because it's not fair or anything, but we all know we can accidentally slip a word or two once in a while! This would prevent Xisto from looking bad.And I don't think it should be changed to "*bottom*" it should just be changed to "%@$" or something, since you don't want to be adding hosting credits for swearing people, do you?*bottom**bottom**BLEEP**BLEEP**BLEEP**BLEEP*er*BLEEP**BLEEP*faceoh my *BLEEP*ing godomfgTesting lol
<-- always performs double read Have not slipped bad words in, yet...
Ya...What dooga said. You get double credits for cussing. If I say "a ss", I get say 3 credits, but if I said "Bottom" I get 6. Obviouly that's not accerate, but you get it?
