Well, I am trying to highlight this particular discussion.
I think we can use robots.txt or what we can do is we can turn the completed requests into invisible mode, after a user creates the hosting account.

Forum section for hosting application has changed permission setting. Guests are no longer allowed to view those sections unless one registers.Spiders cannot register therefore cannot see those sections. I believe this will resolve further caching by search engines. However this will not resolve previously cached pages by other search engines.

Search engines always keep cached pages for some reason. I'm still seeing some pages I made 5 years ago with my VERY old layout... (And the page is now 404 anyways, so I don't get why the search engine still has it in their servers... btw I'm talking about Google here...)

BuffaloHelp

Due to page ranking with Xisto and other search engines, I am hereby taking requests from members who wishes to have their personal information blocked. If guests cannot view what the search engine spits out for a result, the page ranking for Xisto looks bad for having "broken links".Please have them PM me with a direct link to the application, which information to be opted out etc.Thank you.

Dooga

Well, I'm not sure if a few 404s are going to lower Xisto's pagerank...

I don't think that page rank will be affected at all with the deletion of the topic. However, it will be always good to have each and every application stored in forum. It can come handy at any point of time and we all know that it is the personal information which big websites want and make use of it in someway or the other (don't worry I am not saying opaque to start selling the info....he is wise enough to not to do so :P )But, for reference purpose, those topics may come handy....and there is no problem in the editing part so a post by Buff in alerts and notices will certainly help users.Buff you can mention that members can simply PM online mods to make the desired change in their profile....this way you'll be able to keep your PMBOX clean :)
