Yes, I believe in God. In His existence, and in His power. He is real, I know it. God has always been here, forever. It is hard to explain, but the Bible says God is unchanging past, present, and future. So, yeah, I am a Christian. Proud of it too ;)Hey this is a great topic, but I am not sure if it should be in here.

I believe in God and I thank him for the great impact he has had on my life. After a prayer for help, I always feel the effects he has on my life, be they good or bad. And if they are bad, I always learn something from the experience. I believe that with his help, I have turned from a loner with no friends to someone who's liked (and I have the Christmas presents to prove it ;) )

Yes, I both believe in God and I believe Him as concerning the Bible.

Believing in God is essential to coming to Him:

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

But at the same time, that kind of faith isn't enough, even the devils have it. Certain religions do as well, I'm sure you could think of some:

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble

But that's not the saving faith the Bible says is needed, it's only a starting point:

Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I figured you would post here Joshua. Never fails to share his faith. Glad to see someone else is doing it too. Having been on for a while either. I think Joshua is right though. Just believing in God is not enough. You must accept Him into your life and let His changing love take hold, from there, it may not always be a walk in the roses, but you will always have a higher power guiding you if you let Him.Faith is the next most important element in believing in God. If you believe He exists, you already have a little bit of faith. The next part is growing on that faith. Just like Joshua said, even the Devil and his angels believe there is a God.

I don't believe in God, but on the other hand, I don't believe he doesn't exist. I know its a possibility, but I can't see any real proof for it at all, so I find it hard to believe he is there. There's a word for it.. I just can't remember it. I know it is entirely possible that God exists, but I also know it is completely possible that he doesn't. There's no evidence either way, not even a little bit. I'm not one to trust something with no reason or proof that I should, so I guess I'm in the middle of religious and athiest. He could be there, He might not.. I guess I'll find out 60 or 70 years down the road..

I do believe there is a god. I believe he is always there watching us do good and make mistakes. He is always there when we need him most. I think that if you believe in something, then it is there. I don't think anything is impossible. It is always possible to do anything. So therefore I believe that there is a god. I go to church every Sunday, which still isn't enough to show him that I believe in him, but I do.

As I do not believe in a God, or any God for that matter, I do not force others to see my point of view as something they should be doing. I don't care if you're Christian, Catholic, Islamic, Buddhist, or any one of the thousands of other religions on the planet. If you believe in something that helps you get thru your day, and helps you get thru the harder times in your life, good for you. I applaud that. If you don't, and you still manage to get thru the harder times in life, and still manage to enjoy life, good for you, you're one step ahead of the game, and I applaud that as well. But understand that even though I don't believe in God, I do believe in myself, and that's all I ever needed.I've gotten into conversations where I've been 'flamed' for that, and it doesn't matter to me. Flame me all you want, it isn't going to change the way I think, act, react, and it damn sure isn't going to get me to believe in God. As far as religion goes, I have to use my 1st amendment right here, and say that it's like alcohol. Best taken in moderation.I think this is where I should point out that my wife is Catholic, says grace before every meal, and so forth. But she doesn't go to church. Does that make her a bad person? Because I believe in myself, does that make me a bad person? If it does, I don't want to change anything about me, because in the end, I'm happy. The way I see it, no matter what beliefs you have, which God you pray to, or where you do your worship, as long as you're happy. Oh, i do have another belief. All the people on this planet, now, and throughout history, regardless of beliefs, religions, age, race, sex, creed, skin color, hair color, eye color, where you live, what you live in, who you live with, etc. doesn't matter, we all belong to one race. The Human Race. Why can't we just act like it?I think George Carlin said it best. "More blood has been spilled and more life lost in the name of God than for any other reason"

I question god. I wont say i believe in a god, and i wont say that i do. Its just very hard for me to believe in something, that hasnt really been helping for a few thousand years.

Not to get off of the subject, but just for a moment. Its hard for me to believe in the devil. I just feel that the devil was created to scare people into chosing the "right" path in the world. And its so judgemental to tell people that they are going to hell. I don't believe in hell or heaven either. I am sure if one does exist, maybe we all go there...but i just find heaven and hell to be excuses for people's behaviors.

Anyway, I concider myself Agnostic. Just i am open to the possibility that maybe there is a god, but i dont want to be forced to go to church or anything. I pray (very rarely) but only in the most desperate circumstances. I prayed when Princess Diana was in the car crash, and my prayers werent answered. And for a 9 year old, who was always told that when you pray your prayers are answered, to pray and not have them answered really kind of made me concider that maybe god didnt exist. So i didnt pray for quite a long time, untill my grandma was in the hospital and i prayed for her the night before she was going to have the machine turned off. I prayed because i knew i wasnt going to save her, but i wanted her to be happy wherever she was going. Because i realized you cant pray and expect everything to be okay. You have to think logically, praying for her to get well would not have been logical, but praying that whereever she ended up for her to be happy, IS logical. And thats where people go wrong, they expect "god" to fix their problems, but sometimes its even out of gods hands..you cannot expect everything to be fixed, when you put your hands together...its just not logical. I also think people don't believe in god...not the way people used to. They go to church, and they pray everynight...but do they really honestly believe in him? Believing is never questioning, believing is not using him as an excuse for your actions, believing isn't expecting him to fix your problems. Believing is just that belieing...i dont think people believe the way they should. And maybe THAT is why he hasn't showed his face (not litterly) in a few thousand years.

There is hardcore evidance showing that he might not exist. I mean Adam and Eve? Its pretty nasty to be honest, and for it to work even a little there would have had to been an "Adam and Eve" on every contanint. Or even every Country...but the fact is, there would have been a lot of inbreding for it to be possible, and we'd probably resemble a mutated rat then a human being if this theory were correct.

But there is also evidance proving god exists. Why is it SOOO many cultures believe in a god, even before exploration started to happen.

Maybe God does exist, but he did not co write the bible if you understand what im saying.

But to answer the question...I am really not sure...i am drained of faith i guess.

umm,i do not believe God or satan...any so-called god,who they are, where they live...lots of question to ask if the mind come from brain that think they really exist in our planet. :Dany lucky or terrible event happened on or besides us,when we could remind god and bless or beg to be in good status.however,it is a wonderful thing to believe their existence because it can be imagined as the bailment, which people wished.

It could be... I'm not sure... Why are we here... I there a God?More Gods or only 1?Questions questions... the awnser we will never find!Well... :D I'm still an athe?st, I believe in Charles Darwins' theories about the evolution... I don't think there's a god... It can be set up by some old ppl who wanted to give hope in lives of powerless ppl like slaves or something. That God would send someone to free them. But on the other side things are happening and you cannot explain...

Soldierdemon:I believe in only one God. It is the oldest religion around because it started when God did indeed create the world. That evolutionary theory can barely hold water if any and I realize this after I did extensive research and found flaws just laying around that scientists just cover up.You are right, things happen that we can't explain. I have heard of miracles, my brother and I are one. But there are others too. Evolution can't explain why a terminal cancer patient survives, why a person about to crash into a tree on an atv ends up 50 feet from it safe and sound. No, evolution is not the answer. Just my opinion.

There is obviously a higher power. How ever i dont believe its the person that the Christians lead people to believe he is. Its one of those things, im kind of fond of the phonecians who believed that the gods were actualy godesses. So really in the end, seeing how quickly girls mature faster than boys, i wouldn't be surprised if "god" was a female.
